BRIGHTON SET FOR GLORY

Its probably not talked about enough, but Brighton have lost the highest number of days to injuries this season. The decision to strengthen the bench this summer was obviously motivated by a lot of things but the injury crisis last year, including 5 season ending injuries to 1st team regulars by February, definitely was a driver. The circulation of players this season has also been driven by injuries, but the drop off in quality has been a lot less noticeable. We’ve also been able to rest players with injuries, whereas Evan Ferguson, Lewis Dunk and Pervis Estupinan all played through injuries that had to be addressed at the end of season. I think we will have a better sense of where Brighton finish come January/February when injuries have impacted other squads and new manager bounces for all those managers fired in the 1st half of the season have run their course

Yeah, totally agree. They have so much strength in depth now in the squad and can rotate and not lose too much quality and get benefit of fresh legs. I agree Baleba and O'Riley looks a strong combination and plenty of good back up in that area. Igor has shown he is great cover at centre back, Kadıoğlu giving cover for either full back or midfield, with Ferguson and Rutter able to back up Wellbeck and Pedro, Adingra able to provide alternative to Mitoma and Minteh, as well as having two good keepers, it really does look promising long term for Brighton this season. They are also playing very attractive football, which is brilliant to watch. I'd love to see them get top 3 this season.

If we stay injury free then I say we have a great chance for the fa cup but the premiership I’d say either sixth or seventh
