I don't divide people in the way you think. I divide them according to intelligence and character and that's what appeal to me. Not his physical attributes. I like men who think above the normal idea of what equate as good. So my vision of a good man is a man of good moral character, pride in who he is and respect for all regardless who they are. Also I like a man who has common sense. Unfortunately that's a scarcity in our day and age. I'm not against anyone.
@COLOME33611 жыл бұрын
There's no need to divide people. As Ziggy Marley said, "I don't want to divide people, I want to encompass everyone with love." So there's nothing against you brother or sister, just giving a little something to think about if you haven't already. LOVE!

@jumpyourbones it's "I put on the clothes, I stand in a pose, and they pay me a check." I think he's just talking about how talent, imagination, and creativity take a back seat to selling a "cool" image. We all know that in the mainstream, how talented or creative you are doesn't matter as much as how "cool" you look or how much "sex appeal" you have.

Money and prestige have always gotten us as humans and the root is really - GREED!! So until we have our basic NEED's fulfilled: love, safety, food, shelter and the like, we will continue to be armchair critics. I was born an educator and now I'm an activist and this is just one voice....each of us has a voice and we can be heard beyond the comfortable and it just starts by not buying into bullshit or at least calling it what it is instead of iggin it.

But to some extent,isn't that the case with every single artist,movie star or any sort of celebrity? For example foo fighters,they can play,they can sing,wear more or less what they want,but i doubt any one of them have a clue how to do anything more,so they have people that do it for them. Now granted,yes,Lil'wheener and such take's it a bit further,god knows some artists don't even write their own lyrics,but still,the point is,managers are there for a reason,and they manage a whole lot.

Shit we learn it coming out the womb; its so natural for people to classify each other rather than just saying my "brother" or "sister". Cuz really deep down that's all we are. Some of the most fucked up shit is how they essentially make you classify your "race" whenever you fill out a form. Subliminal racism that continues to divide us and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Love; peace; aloha brah.

@Navaura11 жыл бұрын
Yes it is. My brother is the one who brought race classification to my attention. Perhaps I put the black in there without realizing it. I mean He is a man of dark color. I could say chocolate, or brown but that just shows you how use we are to classification. I consider myself "black" as well since it's my classification, but if I sounded a little harsh with calling him black I didn't mean it in that way. But yes, it is stupid.

There are two types of music,one type you make because you like it,the other one you make to get income. It's like with any form of art,ignoring one or the other does not make you a cool person,but rather ignorant. I can't stand lil'Whiner,but then again,even tho he has nearly zero brain cells,he has built a successful busyness.

Ah I love how text creates such miss-communication! It's quite comical. Well then I am glad; and I did not believe you divided anyone yourself I was just pointing out that the usage of terms that classify people as "black", "white", "asian" etc. create the unconscious division rather than just being "human", which still divides us against all the other sentient beings in existence! Hilarious isn't it.

@ceazaro28 lol I think he would shake my hand. Think you mistook what I was trying to say. Mos Def states that that the industry creates false perceptions and I was using Lady Gaga as an example. Her whole flamboyant personality has been created by the industry in order to influence society. Prior to fame, she was so average. Im talking fashion sense etc. She just puts on the clothes and does whats shes been instructed.
