I love this! I was (and still am) in love with Brigitte Bardot's style when I was younger, probably around 12, after seeing some old photos of her in a magazine. She's so classic.

Bardot actually had very fine hair, so they used hot rollers on her and teased the heck out of it to try to get it some of the volume that was so en vogue at the time. If they smoothed it out, it would go flat. That's why her hair always looks a bit ratty, compared to the sleeker bouffants of her celebrity peers of the time.

brigitte was known for her bikini (she had a perfect body !!) and her ballet slippers as well as her bed head hair, pouty lips and smoky eye makeup. she was blatantly knock out sexy and natural and that was revolutionary at the time. Brigitte's influence is still with us today. Amy winehouse did a retro look of hers. Everybody wants to look like brigitte even today.

Hannah Miller Antoinette wore a wig like all of the royals of the time, the hairstyle most likely wouldn't be able to be stable unless there was some sort of support inside the hair

Notice the difference in how the hair is actually cut and layered. Makes a BIG difference in how the style replicates. In the 60s women's hair was cut very differently than it has been since the introduction of the 30 minute cut of points or angles. And it shows in how differently women's hair drapes wet or dry.
