Brilliant Frodon and Bryony Frost strike again in the Badger Beer!

Bryony Frost hailed Frodon as ‘incredible’ after the pair wrote the latest chapter in their remarkable partnership together when raising the roof at Wincanton with a sensational weight carrying performance in the 61st Badger Beer Handicap Chase. Winning owner Paul Vogt added further superlatives, labelling Frodon as “a horse of a lifetime.”
Frodon was initially primed to start his season in the Grade 1 Ladbrokes Champion Chase at Down Royal and defend the title he won last term, but given weather conditions was diverted just down the road from his Ditcheat stable to the Somerset track and landed the feature race of the season there under top-weight to a rapturous local crowd.
Frodon is set for the King George VI Chase at Kempton Park on 26 December now as arguably the most popular partnership in National Hunt racing continues to merrily roll on.

He fell at the last in the 2016 Kauto Star novices chase. The same race where Might Bite crashed out at the last when 15 l clear. He was third, went second after Might Bite came down and slithered to a halt.

That young lady ,Bryony Frost ,is such a gem . She has been brilliant for National Hunt racing and will be for a long time ! Her enthusiasm ,her jockeyship ,her intelligence ,her love for the sport is absolutely a joy to behold . And for those lesser lights who have treated Bryony so abysmally......... It's called professional jealousy......!

I did, when it won a handicap carrying 12 st a few autumns ago at Cheltenham it's mark was 164, it ended up winning a king George, it could not be placed to win after that, running ok in gold cup,the season after it won at down royal first time,the it's form went quiet again cultimating in running in Ultima chase at festival from 164 again finishing mid field under top weight,. It's was dropped to 158 by end of season, so it ran here from 158, I checked it's mark from handicap at Cheltenham to 164, it carried 12 stone there,like here at wincanton, handicap good thing, from 158. 6lb lower than Cheltenham handicap

The thing about this for me was the way he turned the screw down the back straight on the last circuit. Every horse came off the bridle before he did. Yes Lord Accord hashed the last but I believe he did that because he was already beat. If he runs like this on Boxing Day I think he will give Bravemansgame a run for his money!
