Quite. Try crochet first. One needle, and lots of basic and complex patterns for learning.

It's not it's called cable stitch. I was absolutely to try this, but when I did it was a piece of cake! Just make sure to use your stitch counter have a good third needle to cast on those stitches onto, and you'll be surprised how easy it is ☺️ I was so proud of myself when I made one of these scarves and headband for my aunt she was absolutely over the moon for them. I actually graduated to making a sweater with a big full cable down the front. KZbin is a wonderful thing!

@@cabbage-soup I believe it is called "cable knit pattern". It is frequently used for sweaters or if you are British, a jumper.

Hi! I’ve knit something just like this and it was quite fun :) It looks very similar to the pattern “Irish Hiking Scarf” by Adrian Bizilia on Ravelry, just with smaller twisted cables knit in between the larger ones. If you get stuck I might be able to give you advice. Make sure you have clips (even paper clips or safety pins will do!) to mark the rows where you make your twists so you don’t get lost

I used a coffee stir stick. To hold the stiches, them move onto the needle to knit.
