How much delicacy in these mazurkas how much Polishness. Poland, as it sounds proudly. These mazurkas remind me of my childhood home.My uncle often played Chopin. He is my beloved composer , although I love others.Mazurkas remind me of summer evenings, when the croaking of froghs could be heard through the open window overlooking the garden and pond and the moon rose over the trees in the garden, turning the world into a fairy- tale illusion. Now I listen to this beautiful music on summer evenings in Polish manor houses..I love classical music , I just love it, it's amazing.

Behind the apparent complexity of classical compositions lies a mastery of simplicity. Each intricate piece is meticulously crafted, with every note serving a purpose in the grand musical architecture. It's a genre that demands both technical prowess and emotional sensitivity from the performers, and the result is a harmonious blend of complexity and simplicity that stands the test of time.

It takes sadness, loss, and suffering through interesting stages almost as if through the span of a song, one can live a lifetime and reflect back on the good and the bad with melancholic joy. The first time I heard his Ballade No. 1 I cried, and every time since it's felt like reflecting on the life I shared with a now deceased friend, or wife. As if I was living back through the good and bad memories from the perspective of a death bed. Wild stuff.

Its actually because when watching an episode of the action series The Professionals (episode called Dead Reckoning) in there is a piano player who plays the Op. 63 III Allegretto in G sharp minor. Its in a point of the episode where its fairly at the beginning. I had to go all the way to 2:25 on this album to find it-hard work only in the sense that I didnt have a computer mouse but other than that at least I know many of the Mazukas now! Thanks for posting this album!

There is only one photograph of Chopin (discounting the early crudely taken ones) and in it he looks quite uncomfortable and melancholy. What a complex man he was, writing joyful mazurkas that could make you want to dance as well as pieces that could make you cry.

I’m sure it was taken in the mid to late 1840s when he was extremely sick from TB.

Press ctrl+F, type in "C-sharp minor" and then listen to the mazurkas that fall under this category. I guarantee you that those are some of the best minor pieces in the repertoire. This works with Chopin's waltzes, nocturnes, and other composers' works like Rachmaninoff.

There are many composers with some memorable compositions and here is Chopin still alive, who only could make the wonder: written us not only pieces about love, sadness, melancoly, delight, patriotism, but gives us the true feelings of these emotions listening to him.

"Chopin's scherzi are like the tasty fat of a lamb chop. His polonaises and etudes are the meat itself. The sonatas, ballades, chamber works and songs are the vegetables. The preludes are the salt and pepper. The nocturnes and waltzes are the gravy. The sonatas and concerti are the plates and cutlery. The mazurkas are the drinks." - Albert Einstein
