Or perhaps such great pain can help us see and we will wake up and see we don't belong here, it's not our true home and something in our spirit knows this and long's for it - hence the homesick sadness. You don't have to identify with being the small sad one- you are the universe, the sky, the heavens themselves! I believe this music speaks to our beauty and greatness while seemingly living in a dark world. I hope you find peace, you deserve it ❤️

I am 81 years old and have often heard Chopin's creations. Yet listening to these Nocturnes I've realized something amazing. Each musical phrase is like a kind verbal expression. Sometimes romantic, often nostalgic, and maybe imploring understanding and joy. And one can imagine long conversations with a son, a daughter, a lover, a life long companion, and may be a simple casual conversation with a fellow traveller in a train one is not acquainted with yet a comment can be shared about the scenery, the colors of the sky, anything..

The only reason I started learning piano 9 years ago was to play Chopin. I listened to hundreds of performance of his on KZbin, but true pleasure comes when I learn his pieces and play them on my piano. I know a few other pieces from other composers. But my piano journey is all about one composer: Chopin. Nothing else would do. Now three pianos later, I can play some of his waltzes and nocturnes. I started with his preludes and one day I would love to play his etudes.

Very beautiful performance. The music that should have been familiar to me made me realize how beautiful each piece was. It made me realize that the role of a performer is not to show off one's performance skills, but to enhance the beauty of the music.

Yo me sentia igual.

I remember one of our music lecturers giving a concert in which he played all the nocturnes from memory. The concert was a bit longer than this because he made a couple of mistakes playing two pieces twice.
@trishcooley581011 ай бұрын
I hope one of the repeated pieces was: 000:000 No. 1 Nocturne in B-flat minor, Op 9! I heard a few seconds of it being played by, I believe, a blind, autistic young lady in a KZbin Short video yesterday. I had never heard anything so beautiful in my 63-1/2 years of life! I had to hear the entire piece & I found this video! I guess I have never really heard Chopin, except No. 2 must be famous. I recognized a tiny bit of it, but nothing of the other Nocturnes. I can’t imagine leaving this world having never known this music existed & never having experienced it! I now have a favorite classical music composer - CHOPIN! And a new favorite classical song. It used to be The Beautiful Blue Danube - it had to go to #2, or maybe #1.5 is more accurate. The next song here, No. 2, starts (or I like to think No. 1 ends) at 6:16. That is my birthday & I totally take it as a sign from God. I broke up with my boyfriend the day before yesterday. Finding this music yesterday has given me an entire new chapter in my life that I am flabbergasted to find out was waiting for me while I thought I was in the mellowing final chapter! Life is so amazing! I hope the newest generations get to see at least a glimpse of, & experience a smisgen of the passion, happiness, satisfaction, understanding, wonder & awe that human emotions are capable of, & discover a fraction of what I have, such as this melodic miracle a Polish (I’m Polish also) genius created with his gift from God Almighty to share with us beloved servants of Jesus Christ.
