It is mesmerizing. Watching the clamshells, the shear, the lift, all of the crane activity especially in this sped up version and trying to figure out what is going on is one of the more entertaining videos I have seen.

We Flew over the site coming home from vacation. Absolutely broken hearted seeing that the bridge I had both driven across and sailed under for over 45 years WAS NO MORE!🥲🥲 Thanks Andy for bringing this episode to us with skill and dignity.

I knew Frank Holland. He was an Engineer aboard the Nautilus when it sailed under the North Pole. I was a Broadcast Engineer for AFRTS while I served in the US Army, in the '70s. The US Military has many types of Engineers. I know some Marine Combat Engineers, and I served with an Electrical Engineer assigned to run a power plant for a remote base. All of these people were trained by the Military. I was the only exception. I tested out of my Engineering school, during Basic.

Good morning Capt. I've watched your videos from the beginning. I live in a town not too far from Gettysburg. And a city that its self is full of history not too far away. What you have been doing is going to last for as long as history will survive. Record what you see , comment on what you know and feel at the time . All of this is historical information that many people in the future will want to see and hear . Especially the family of those who lost their lives and those who responded and worked on this . Make a video of all of your videos combined in the end . I'd buy that video

Hi again Captain, Thanks again for your work. I like how when you speed up the video, every movement looks like kids Playing with their toys, but fast. It's cute. I can't wait to see your boat and hat. And to see the Truss all disappear. It's coming. I wish your radio could scan what the Dali is talking about if any. I also like how from a distance, how the Cutter looks like a Metal Man Playing Hang Man. Ok, Captain, until you go live. Thanks. Terry

I wonder if it was War time, meaning with a peer capable enemy, and the port channel needed to be open ASAP, how much faster they good have got the job done. I don't think it could have been much faster than what they did here. An amazing job but those involved. - Can't wait to see the new bridge design when it comes out.

keeping in mind that this is the KZbin comments section: The USCG has *Cutters.* A particular meaning in the maritime world. "wire cutters" are a hand held tool, for electricians. GulfStream International (GSI) and a couple of other companies offer a _Diamond Wire Saw_ in various sizes, that can even be placed underwater by divers, who then re-surface while the cut is being made - for safety. thanks!

So why are they cutting more when they have the cranes to pick it up. They said the piece that was on the Dali was 650 Ton. Then they cut into some smaller pieces. They also had been only taking 450 ton sections at a time. I think they could have floated some big chunks out of the way to open the channel much sooner. Give me your thoughts. Thanks
