Your voice is so silky it's scary wicked good. Another awesome performance. I know your band has a good blues vibe going, so don't misinterpret this comment. On the highest notes, you might want to experiment with adding some growl. Not really raspiness, but a growling attack to the higher notes. I know they are well within your singing range already, but I think it would give YOUR version of the song just a bit more of an edge to it. Honestly, I don't remember how the original was sung. It's just based on listening to your version.

I appreciate that and thanks for the recommendation, I do find it easier to add in that style with a fuller band backing....I know that Melissa has a much raspier voice then me in all of her deliver. :)

​@@SugarLimeBlueI just listened to your version a few more times. You are blessed with a purity of tone and harmonics and your delivery is essentially effortless because you know "how" to sing. We both know I am no vocal coach, but here we go. I feel strange doing this in a KZbin comment. If there's a way for us to communicate otherwise, I'd like to. To try to be helpful, not mindlessly critical. My comment is specifically for the verbal attack on the words "survive" and "sweet devil." Kind of a quick rising growl into those words. It should add a quick vocal contrast that also totally removes the need to add rasp to any of the other lyrics. The ear's waiting for it the whole song after the first time you do it, and that changes the way the listener listens to the song, quite unconsciously. I also believe it will have exceptional impact on a solo acoustic version. You know how to sing those high notes keeping the volume level even (most don't). You've already made the rest of it yours. You don't need to sound like her. It's YOUR version.
