@@TheCleansingx Lol what, how is it? Second verse sounds bit pop-punkish, that's it. They were taking influenses from emo music actually, and lots of it is pop punk. I'd say the scene does what BMTH does lol, I already heard like 3 or 4 songs from different slightly big bands that sound like something from Survival Horror, back in the day I heard a lot of Amo influenses in core music even though the album is not even IN the heavy scene. So I guess I'll be waiting for Wage War to go emo on next record lol.

After watching some recent interviews with Oli, he explained more about what the four Post Human EPs will be. Each one will pay homage to some of the core influences on BMTH’s sound over the years. Survival Horror was homage to their Nu Metal and raw rock influences. Post Human EP 2 (with DiE4U) will be homage to their emo-screamo influences. EPs 3 and 4 will be something different, with 4 especially being a big curveball.
@xKouhai

Yeah that's also what I've gathered from whenever the band has spoken about this. I also remember Oli saying something about one returning to smth closer to deathcore (I think it was a tweet asking what one of the other EPs will sound like, and him replying with a screenshot from an old music video) - but I could be VERY wrong about this!

As someone with an appreciation for rock, metal, pop, EDM this hit all the feels. I feel like metal fans and its gatekeepers alike can be narrowminded when it comes to judging music that is a little different. The production on this is outstanding, it navigates heavy live drums and guitar seamlessly along with upbeat synths and electronic drums. This 4 EP project covering their musical roots and influences is as bold and innovative an idea as any artist/band in any genre right now. Absolute trailblazers!

I’ve given up on the gatekeepers ever opening their minds when it comes to this melding of genres that include any metal sound AT ALL. I honestly really like it. It's definitely different for them, but it also has some That's The Spirit and even some Amo esque vibes in there while also having those early 2000's pop-punk/post hardcore vibes in there as well. It blends well and It's catchy as hell

After Post Human, i realized than BMTH don't have a "transition". They just make what they want. And (almost) every time, it was perfectly. They transcend genres. They just make good, fun, catchy music.

Well that was a song. I wasn't crazy into it, but ya know, I support it anyway. They want to do whatever they want to do, doesn't mean the next song will sound like this at all. I didn't really get any Rise Against vibes tbh. Also lol @ "there's the hooker" lmao

yeah the fact you say that pretty much explains it. that you werent in touch with anything scene/emo. this is justin bieber tik tok esque with some fray screams. bands bringing back “ scene” would be if i die first, wristmeetsrazor, static dress, L’exquisite douleur for example.

So many people bitch about this song but I love that they are experimenting and combining genres. I discovered they exist in 2009/10 and they instantly became my favorite band and are ever since. I love this combo of older times sounds with newer shit, the heavy parts and pop-punk combos. And I especially love that they just do what THEY want to do.
