I am a Filipina and married for almost 10 years until my husband passed Jan 2022. I rather live in the Philippines living in the US is stress and so different , work is better opportunity in USA but living simple life in the Philippines will be worth it. I just become US citizen yesterday I applied after my late husband died . If I want to go back in the US no hassle at all. But I want to move to the Philippines because my parents and siblings is there. I'm 34 and I don't want to rush into dating again. I came here in USA through K1 visa year 2012. Life in America is not easy . You just need to find the good Filipina , look what's inside not only outside look. I came from province and poor family but I never ask money to my husband , I work for the money I sent to my family .I never ask any help to my late husband because he's not responsible to my family. I meet my late husband in person in cebu. They don't know it's hard living in USA is not bed of roses. Philippines is more fun and happy life to live and I can't wait to go back home.

I'm so sorry to hear about your husband Grace. I'm a 35 year old American man planning to eventually get out of America and go to the Philippines myself. American culture and the west in general have become toxic, and it's my opinion that America is only good for making money these days and not much else. Here, there is abundance of material and poverty of soul.

Rubeauti you have given so much great advise. 12 months should be a minimum (and that is seeing each other every day) as that allows you to see each other in every season to see how you/they change by season (if they do). It is not only pinays looking for PR and then changing. I believe there are way more in China wanting to do this - my Chinese wife was very believable (very good actor) until she came to Australia and got her PR and then the real (not so nice) her came out. Guys listen to what Rubeauti has said and absorb it (watch a few times and really listen). I wish I had followed this advise before I married. Thank you for the very truthful and informative video. Chinese women in particular can't be trusted. I spent 8 years in HK and China, speak the language and I know how they think. NEVER bring Asian women to Western countries as they will be poisoned by Western women who tell them "you can do better" and the hypergamy will kick in. Remember, you are just an expendable and disposable asset to these women. Temporary GF, ok, marriage, NO, not in Philippines or anywhere else.
@victorlloyd11312 жыл бұрын
@Ian T. I agree with your comments - there are many more Chinese after PR (in NEW ZEALAND) My Chinese wife also was sweet as pie until she got PR - then the nasty truth came out - she wanted my house, car, and ALL my property. Also I married a Vietnamese younger woman 7 years after my divorce to Chinese - but the only thing she loved was my wallet. Now I have MET a Filipino lady who is a devout and committed Christian ✝️ and her English is quite good. We have talked to each other every night for two years and two months and several times with her family (7 people altogether) But she is not the typical Filipino - very very different and has always insisted from Day 1 that Jesus must be the CENTRE of our love. End of story. In the final analysis it is the language barrier that will break the relationship - I am learning Visaya and Cebuano - and her English is becoming more fluent every day. So above all - guys be prepared to learn her language - it is a courtesy to her and a compliment really. 😊

After all everyone wants to be loved an wanted and for some they become overwhelmed by the feelings of someone actually interested in them and then are blind to the warning signs. There is nothing wrong with anyone wanting to better themselves and wanting to do so by leaving their current country. Bettering ones self is a positive thing. How did I know my Filipina was the right one? She wanted to stay in the Philippines. After living in the Philippines for a year, we both agreed to move to USA. Our goal is to build a house for her family, buy a condo in Baguio for us, and retire there. In the USA, she works hard and more than pulls her own weight and helps her family as well. Most important thing in any relationship... communication. Don't be afraid to say what you want. Don't be afraid to be honest. Be sure you have the right person, and that you have the same goals and ideas about life. I also STRONGLY urge foreigners to LIVE in the Philippines for a good amount of time. NOT a vacation there, but living your life there. Know who she is, know her friends and family, know what life is like there and what she is living through. And know each other.

Lots of good information that I hope guys will take on board. It’s easy after having relationships in the West, to be blown away by meeting much younger and more beautiful Filipinas. You need to be realistic, if you’re in your 50-60-70’s it’s unlikely that a young beauty is attracted to you for your looks. Taking them back to your country, especially if there’s a large age gap is extremely risky, there’s a lot more competition there. We Western guys often complain about Filipinas changing, and becoming Westernised…but it’s usually our fault for making them change. It’s easy to spoil them, buying them the nice things they have always gone without, but it raises their expectations. What starts as small can easily snowball. It always amazes me how a poor girl, who before you met, had no job and survived on nothing, years later struggles to manage on 10-15 + thousand a month. I met a Filipino doctor once, when I took my then new girl on her first vacation. He said to me ‘your girl is very beautiful, whatever you do, make sure you don’t spoil her’….I did. Lesson learned.

When people want to feel rich they should look for happiness not by spending money, but elsewhere. People are rich not when they spend, but when they attract and keep it and invest. But ironically, women like the spenders, the consumer-type men, while they may not notice nor be attracted to someone who perseveres the long journey of creating wealth.

Open and honest communication about intentions and expectations is most important. Take things slow and REALLY get to know each other, if she really cares for you she will be willing to wait. I don't think putting your hopes on going to another country is a good thing put your future into, when most Filipina's may never even see a foreigner let alone be with one. A woman's class in society does NOT necessarily translate to her classiness as a person, and I don't think many foreigners care about her standing in society, because that won't matter being with a foreigner her standing will increase, it's how she handles herself when that happens whether she will remain a classy lady or not.
@wardcummins87362 жыл бұрын
Your honesty is very refreshing. I like the way you say what you believe, and you do not try to make your viewers happy by selling them a false image of the PI. It has it's beauty, to be sure, but it was a difficult place when I was there in the 80s, and I'm sure it continues to be the same. You are a very smart young lady, and I'm pretty sure you have a boyfriend. He is lucky to have someone who can communicate her thoughts so well. I found that was the most difficult thing to find in a Filipina when I was there. Very few could communicate, and they had difficulty getting humor, etc. I met just one who stole my heart with her sense of humor and wit. She used to sit and read the English dictionary for hours when she was not studying for school. She passed very young in 2009. It's a sad story. Maybe I'll tell you sometime.🙂 Keep up the good work. Keep being honest. So many making these videos are just trying to make money and increase views by telling westerners what they want to hear about moving to the PI.

Thank you Rubeauti for your quality work and sharing your knowledge of the Philippines. I am currently in a LDR with a Filipina from Leyte. As an American I am mindful of some of the issues we are having here with Women learning to leave the marriage and relationship after 20 years or more of marriage. I know some American men may worry that their Filipina may learn our ways and do the same to us. I would suggest to listen to the heart of the Filipina. If she is from Province, then she may do very well living in America as long as we stay out of the big cities. What you call living in the Province, we say "living in the Country". It just means we are not in a big city. Again, thank you for this channel. It helps bring insight to me for the day I will move to the Philippines.

Making a relationship workout is usually not easy...... when it comes to couples from the same culture. Add some cultural differences to that and it's even harder. I think I'm better suited to the climate and culture in, for example, Thailand. I will try to move to and work in Asia. I will most likely do this alone. I have a hard time finding someone in Europe and it will be even harder in Asia. When it comes to expectations I think we always think someone else has a better life and it would be better "if we could only move somewhere else". It doesn't work that way. We always want what we don't have 😊.

If my Filipina girl has family she is rooted to with financial support, religious dedication and doesn't want to leave the Philippines,then maybe we won't have a future together but on the other hand, if she is ready for a change and pretty much no family left or friends then there is a much greater chance of us dedicating more of our personal time exploring and learning each other..

So I explained..in order for me retire in the US I have to keep working...if I go to the Philippines I can stop working and enjoy retirement...as you described very well, we must understand each other's goals..if she wants to immigrate to the US she needs to find someone else...I need to be with a lady who doesn't mind staying in the Phillipines...in turn I will provide for everything she needs, including building a house...this is the compromise...she invests love, and youth..I invest love and provide for her, its a great exchange It's a win win for both..

I firmly believe the reason a lot of foreigners won't take their much younger Filipina back to their home country is they know in her country it's him that's looked at as the great catch, where if she goes to his country he's just the old man and she's the great catch. If she has some looks, and if she has the body, she can walk (or run) away from him and be living with someone young and handsome before the old guy knows what hit him. Any day it's just one small disagreement away.

And basic common sense NO marriage until at leasr 6 months relationship, stay together at least 60 days ... and if good, then WE BOTH decide if marriage is BEST for BOTH of us. I'm from the U.S., Colorado specifically. I left the U.S. for PH and didn't look back. Very few Filipina's are going to find an American counterpart with a sufficient income to live comfortably in the U.S. It's much better for the Americana to come to the Philippines to live so that both, and her children, can have a better life together. Now this is not a one-size-fits-all point of view to be sure, but it is generally better for the Americana to come and live in beauty of the Philippines where the very best people on the planet reside.

She told me to apply independent residency because i dont know if my husband will still love me tomorrow .,and i was so angry that i told her ,i dont come here to use my husband .. (because she is planning to leave her husband when she get a residency ) but one thing i learned those bad influence filipina are not happy with their life so they try to convince other filipina and ruin a good marriage ... So thats why i respect if my husband dont like some of my friends if he feels they are bad influence so we have rules here who is allowed and not allowed in our house and never ever go to filipino community ,

You are so right! Exactly. You need to know expectations from each other. How about religion. If the foreigner is not a Catholic it could be trouble. That religion dominates the Philippines. I’m a Christian not a catholic. I think there’s going to be trouble. I’m not sure. What you say about the Filipino moving to the US just to end up leaving the foreigner when she gets to the US. That’s true too. I’m too old to play games. I’d rather live ion the Philippines. But we have to agree on our future. Where to live, religion, etc. all things need to be consider.

First, this vlogger doesn't have any experience with foreigner. Never bring yr Filipina wife to the yr country. There's a big chance bad things will happen to you and yr relationship. You would be a steppingstone for her to get out of her country. 1:55. She will not leave you if you stay permanently in Ph bcos her life will be much better than what she has now. 2:35. She should not be providing for her family bcos you are her family now. 3:00 .if her pinoy family is her priority then what are you, ATM??? 3:11. Listening to this vlogger on how to lose yr foreign bf real fast. Bedding your gf as fast as you can is the best way to seal the deal. (she's mine now). She can be chatting with many others too.

Currently dating a Japanese but she wants me to live in Japan with her, which is harder said than done because Japan isn't a really foreigner-friendly country and doesn't have a great work-life balance.
@MrBobm0012 жыл бұрын
In my day Japanese families forbid their daughters to date foreigners, While in High School I had three penpals (before internet, remember Postal mail) one girl from Japan and the two girls from Australia, then I enlisted in the US Navy, this was during the Viet Nam war, my Japanese girl wrote me off due to the Military bit whereas the Australian girls loved it. Almost three of my four years enlistment I spend in Southeast Asia, many visits to Japan including the Japanese girl's city but never attempted to meet. Meanwhile I met a Filipina gal and loss interest in the Australian girls because my ship (s) never visited Australia. Sorry about old man story, now regarding working in Japan as a foreigner only if you have special work permit with Japanese company. My Niece worked in the Tokyo area for over 10 years, married a Canadian who work there also, having three children born there before moving to Canada later. Bottom line you will always be a foreigner in Japan and cannot get citizenship and limited to 90 days unless you have that special work permit that is hard to get nowdays.

I had a foreign wife and it didn’t work out. She never asked me for a dime and offered to pay for her plane ticket back so she was not a scammer. Let me put it this way, the guy is asking a young lady to give up everything she knows and loves to move to his country. I blame myself, it was too much to ask of a woman. Guys, move to her country, you are mature and can handle the change better than her. Besides, you are the hot commodity in her country and hold all the cards. When she comes to your country she holds the cards.

You make an excellent point. I wasn’t in a financial position where I could relocate to the Philippines when I met my wife. In fact I had been introduced to several Filipinas prior to her, one was absolutely stunning in her looks, that I quickly moved on from because I assessed that they wouldn’t be able to adapt well to the US. Third time was the charm as I did assess correctly that she could. It’s a very important consideration most guys don’t think about.

I would say most guys going to Philippines are not rich by western standards. If I made the same income in the Philippines as I did here in the west I would live comfortably but certainly not in a palace overlooking the sea. Although incomes are much higher than over there, things are also more expensive from housing to food to utilities to...you name it. We do save-or go further in debt by using credit cards, to travel to far away places to see and experience new cultures and food and people. My dollar does go further in the Philippines and it is actually cheaper than if I took a taxi downtown(at home), stayed 3 weeks in a hotel, ate all my meals at the hotel or restaurants, checked out the local museums and attractions. Even if I include the cost of flights to and from there and island hopping flights it is still cheaper to vacation there!!!

I'm glad you made this video, I was assuming that because Philippina's are generally very family oriented that they would want to stay at home. I thought I would have to make several trips to the Philippines so that I could decide if I wanted to live there or not before even looking for a girlfriend. Now that I know many women would like to move it opens up more possibilities. I'm new to your channel so you may have covered this, but do you have any advice on how soon a guy should discuss his finances? I agreed with one comment given earlier. It’s no picnic here Living in the USA 🇺🇸 can be difficult. At least a retiring man can move to the Philippines 🇵🇭 and give the Filipina a better life there. like you said, the couple has to have chemistry. You will know in your heart if you got the right Filipina. Another man I agreed with, there are plenty of Filipinas that are older looking for a Prince Charming. They deserve to be with someone who will love them for who they are and give them the better life they want. You did open my eyes to be careful of the Filipina i would start a LDR with. I dated a Filipino for 2 years and 4 months on video calls plus I went there for 2 weeks in the middle of the two years. It did not end up working out because covid happened I couldn't go back for so long she got back with the father of her 6-year-old. That being said she never once wanted to come live in the United States. That's one of the things that attracted me to her to begin with. I want to live over in that area where it's cheaper and she was one of the only ones talking to me at the beginning that showed no interest in coming to the United States. I think that was a good sign. We didn't work out and it's understandable with no hard feelings but I personally would date no one in Thailand or the Philippines that insisted they wanted to live in the United States

Hello ✌🏽 Rubeauti.. Happy 🙂 Sunday to you!! I work with people from all over the world and I know a lot of Filipinas that have moved to the West and also a lot of Filipinas that live in the Philippines. I “respectfully” disagree with your claim that most Filipinas want to move to the West. A lot of Filipinas that marry foreigners “don’t” want to move to the West. They want to stay in the Philippines because their family lives there. And even a lot of poor Filipinas enjoy their “simple life” there. They just want a partner who’ll take care of them and be faithful to them. Something that many women from all over the world want. Take care and have a nice✌🏽day, Rubeauti!!

funny, when my wife and me meet we did deceit to go back one day again and stay at her home town to be close to the family, i think this is what counts the most, not money or materials in other country's but family where you go back to...( 12 years happy married going back from US Florida to Catanduanes and our own beach property ) and most western people are still poor working in 2 jobs to make it living here...BUT the opportunity's are much bigger here to step out of that to become independence...

Good thoughts miss Rubeauti. I am married to a Filipina and I would say our relationship is good. I never gave her money while we were online dating except special occasions like birthdays and Christmas. We know many successful mixed couples here that have good marriages. Most of the ones that didn’t work were between an older guy and a very young Filipina. If you are 60 plus and marry a 20 year old Filipina how do you plan on keeping her satisfied in bed 10 years down the road. Filipinas need to be careful too. There are guys that will look for an Asian wife because they think an Asian girl will be their slave. You are right get to know the person. We online dated for 5 years. We did see each other in person at least once a year but even with dating that long we did not completely know each other. Cheers.
