Works a lot better if you replace the weight with tying it to your lucky duck pole in your spreaad. I always tied the elastic bungee to the pole and it makes the back and fourth a lot more exaggerated and noticeable opposed to dragging the weight with every pull.

I've used multiple spreaders on a jerk rig and your dog learns real fast to swim around the spreaders.

Great video. I just received mine. Question, on the direction it says to put 4 on one spreader and 3 on the other for the ultimate spreader. You have eight! How did you set it up differently from the directions? Another question, the ultimate came with two strings. Should we use both of the strings for mor or different motion?

I just put one on every clip and then put the connecting rod on two clips. Seems to work. The two strings are for if you want to run them separately

Would this work well in deep water? How well does it or would it work in thick grass/weeds? Because on average I hunt 9ft of water.

You just need to extend the line to the anchor. I use them in twenty foot lakes all the time

I love mine, It really helps in the Cali marshes, the birds are so finicky. Decoying birds is very very hard although can be done with these. Good stuff Josh.

Looks awesome. Do you have any experience with dogs swimming through them? I’m interested, but I’m not too sure how my dog would react to running into the steel frame when swimming out.

All the poles are fiberglass(tent poles) and it sits about 5"-6" under the water. Im sure a dog would be weirded out and mess it all up in my opinion.

The duck thang is the best for creating motion in a decoy spread. But not logical for walk in hunting. This looks like a good product for walk in hunters.

Another reason to not hunt with a dog. Any time I dont have to hear the owner yelling at a poorly trained dog or hearing repeated commands, or it's too cold, too hot, gotta bring a dog hide with, this that the other. It's easier for me to hunt by myself, and walk out in shin deep water 20 yards to grab a dead bird I shot.
