I love how this verse shows that there is not an election or reprobate for salvation. It shows that we can bring sinners back from death to life and that a brother can go astray and follow away to the point of hell but also a sinner can be saved and brought into heaven. Sure sounds like free will to me :)

OSAS BELIEVERS CAN'T ANSWER THIS VERSE, JUST LIKE THEY CAN'T HEBREWS 3:12-14

PJ, thank you for sharing your thoughts on whether it is ever Biblical to refer to a Christian as a sinner. My church does not believe so and I have always stumbled over it. I wonder if there's an APJ for that 🤔

Which confirms what the OT said, that God would send SAVIORS who will offer their SOULS as a living sacrifice for others thus covering their sins. When you forgive someone for their sins against you they are remitted in heaven. So YOU DO have the power to forgive the sins of others and they are wiped clean of that sin. Thats what the NT is referring about Jesus when he forgave sins. Unfortunately, the story got corrupted along the way. The same thing Jesus and all the chosen elect apostles did in the 1st coming of the Holy Spirit.
