I am wondering since the pickerang is fairly useless in the vault why is it so expensive, and what i mean is they cant be used to mine ores, they cant be used to mine coins ( wich i understand the coins not being able to be mined ) and so the ONLY thing it could be good for is for getting floating gear

not being able to mine ores or coins is a recent thing. They used to be able to do that. We'll see why they can't any more in a future vid... I used them all the time in 1.16 for collecting ores at height.
