"Why were the brittish able to land?" If the battle is fought at sea the the navy stationed in that zones millitary HQ is used to fight them. But here they fought a landingbattle which is decided by your currend landtroops that are "stationed there"/"not on any frontline". U can make great use of that if u are trying to naval-invade into another country like GB or Austria that prove very hard. Just create a direkt frontline with them through taking a nabouring country, swiss for Austria or Morroco for GB (due to the tradeport) and naval invasions get easier.

Sweden and France were absolutely not allies in this time period. The Marshal who was elected King of Sweden, Bernadotte, immediately betrayed both Napoleon and France and consistently advocated for Swedish interests only. He played a critical role in defeating Napoleon in the last Coalition wars by giving the reactionary leadership inside information about French strengths and weaknesses. In other words you actually couldn't be more wrong but I don't blame you for logically assuming that Sweden would have become friendly after this. It just happens that Bernadotte was an exceptional scumbag and instead decided to kill as many of his countrymen as possible and ruin France, likely because he was butthurt about petty arguments with other marshals or with Napoleon. He was the 19th century Benedict Arnold.
@thechronicler14532 ай бұрын
@@Euromantique ah, I believe there has been a misunderstanding, my friend. I know that Bernadotte betrayed Napoleon after around a year and joined the war of the 6th coalition against Napoleon but he did, at one point and for a very short time, have Sweden as a ally/puppet. I don’t remember why I said it, I think Laith allied Sweden or made them his puppet state, I don’t know, it was a long time ago.
