Bringing Back To Life: Reviving A Rusty Multi-Purpose Tool!

I like that every tool or every part is the same as the factory or company produced and I am against any change in it.
Well, what do we have here, a very multi-purpose tool that can be used as a hammer, ax, and nail puller. This multi-purpose tool was for my friend and he had put it in a corner for a long time and did not use it. One day I was gone. When I visited my friend, my eyes fell on this tool and I asked him why you left this valuable tool in a corner and do not use it.
In response, he said: I would like to restore it, but I don't have enough tools and experience to restore it.
I asked him to entrust this work to me and since he knew that I am a skilled craftsman and have the ability to restore it, he gave me the tools and I started to restore it.
My God, its handle was bent under a lot of pressure, and the sticks of its handle were not known what had happened to it.
I made a new wooden handle with walnut wood for it, straightened the bent handle, removed the rust using 12 volt electricity.
I finished the places that were not paid in the casting with a file and carefully.
I blackened the body of the tool except for the ax blade and the hammer with super blue alum so that it will not rust in any way.
And finally, as you can see in the video, I turned it into a useful and beautiful tool again.

I had at least 3 of these types of multi tool, each price was less than $15.00, surprisingly cheap even for Alaska... after the 3rd tool, I stopped buying, and the sporting goods store stopped stocking them. Cheap, not really worthwhile for the work needed being done... great toy though for a post adolescent teen.

These "tools" were produced in China (a decade or two ago) and sold for a few bucks ... basically as throw-away emergency tools. I mistakenly took one on a camping trip in northern Ontario and had the teeth on the nail puller snap off...these are cheaply made and poorly CAST metal crate disassembly tools. The one that had parts snap off on me while camping...l left at the camp site for ultra light campers to use -when they visited the camp site. The wooden handles look as if a grade school shop class had a project to produce several hundred in a single sitting, nothing fits and gaps everywhere with woodfiller attempting to cover up the sloppy workmanship. Hardly worth the trouble or time to restore. But l did buy another for the trunk of my SUV...just in case, and hoping to never have to use it.
