Bringing Hearing Loss To Life

For me as a person with mild hearing loss, busy streets or a place with lots of loud conversations are the worst. It’s like I can hear the background noise way better than the person talking to me. That and sentences are suddenly and randomly garbled. Other times it seems as though someone is really soft-spoken and I have to lean in closer to hear them. It’s annoying but also isolating.

I was born with severe hearing loss in both ears. This video is kind of accurate. There's normal hearing, moderate hearing loss, severe hearing loss, then profoundly deaf. I have at least 60% hearing loss in both ears now. My hearing aids help me to notice things, but it is not perfect. There are things that I still do not hear and/or understand. Without my hearing aids, it is like in the video. Everything is muffled. But I can hear high pitch noises really well.

Yes, yes, yes! Thank you. Now I can show this to my family. I’ve had a mild hearing loss since I was a child. It has retry come worse due to large holes in my eardrums and having eustscian tube disfunction means I’ll be needing hearing. aids for both ears. I have the first one and we are saving for second. They just don’t understand it.

I am someone who has severe hearing loss and I use hearing aids, there is times my family still don't understand about my deafness I end up feeling so frustrated which drives me mental, but there is one good thing about wearing hearing aids is when someone starts moaning at me, I just turn my hearing aids off, as they are not making that much sense to me anyway.

I've had my hearing test but my results told me I didn't have a hearing loss and I don't belive that, Everything sounds muffled to me. It's hard to hear in nosey environments and over the phone

This video shows people how important support for their studies is. That a cure will not work well cochlear implants have boz de robo .... people suffer while others profit. Think one day our children may have sudden deafness and not a cure. depression dementia etc
