Had the honor of being an extra during the filming and to have met and engaged in conversations with Chadwick Bozeman, Viola Davis and Denzel Washington . The costumes were genuine and fragile yet beautiful. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had. 💝❤💙💚💖💜💗

First, why this movie is not being talk about enough. Second, Chadwick is a legend and was a legend before Black Panther.

It is being talked about. The Oscar predictions and Chadwick's chances of a posthumous Oscar nomination/win is evident. Word will build up in the next few days to it's Netflix premiere. Maybe tv advertisement is not on at the moment but hopefully , it will build up and then be #1 on top watched Netflix programs during the next few weeks.

@@JamesDavis-sh9gh I wouldn't say he will win an Oscar since we don't who will be nominated in the support actor category.. The film is getting a lot of buzz but the Oscars aren't until March/April of 2021. If Viola Davis did her own singing in the movie, she will most definitely receive a Oscar nomination and most likely an overdue win as Best Actress in a Leading role. The Academy loves it when the actors/actresses are able to sing.

It will get attention though I don't know whether Chadwick will either get nominated or win.
@mamadouaziza25364 жыл бұрын
@@rickardkaufman3988 Its getting some attention but keep in mind its about a Blue singer the modern public is unfamiliar with. Also, the performances look rather contrived and pretentious, we all know Viola Davis can do this types of acting gigs in her sleep without breaking a sweat. Noting new here. I prefer to see Viola do something she hasn't done before. Its gonna be sad seeing Chadwick Boseman's last performance knowing he was suffering from cancer silently.

I am so glad Denziel Washington is bringing all his plays to the big screen! August Wilson is the man who tells the stories of the Black Experience! What we go through, the hardships, the sacrifices, the backbreaking and what we still go through to be equal! Here it is ! The year 2020 and black and brown people are still fighting for equality doing a Pandemic! Thank God for others and people like August Wilson. To tell our plight, our stories! True, this is how you get movie done in Hollywood, you gotta start a production company and go out and either write your own movies or buy scripts or plays.. Comedian Mo'Nique needs to do this if she wants to work. Halle Berry, Kerry Washington and Octavia Spencer are doing it. Vivica Fox use to do it and people made fun of her in the early 2000s because the movies she produced went straight to video (these days it doesn't matter if the movie goes directly to DVD or streaming).

Must watch. Wakanda forever!! One last bow, one last breath taking chills of Chadwick's final performance, will truly send emotional shivers down your spine. You can feel the intense emotion in his character, Levee. You're immediately hooked to his character, charm, upbeat "I want it, I want know" attitude. I felt his emotional performance, during a scene where his character Levee, shares the horrors that he witnessed as a child. Meanwhile here comes the force of nature, Viola Davis as The Mother of Blues herself, Ma Rainey. I can honestly say I never seen such a magnificent well executed performance delivered like this before. Now don't get me wrong, Viola Davis is one of the many talented actors, on stage, and on screen. Yet I never heard her sing before, so I was blown away by the voice the soul the emotion, the way Viola/Rainey demanded respect. Truly an outstanding performance. #ViolaDavis #chadwickboseman #netflix #MaRaineysBlackBottom

It's on Netflix because Netflix stepped up It's game years ago and has been getting It's movies and TV shows nominated for a winning Oscar, Emmy, Golden Globe, etc awards. The Irishman by Martin Scorsese was released on Netflix in 2019 then racked up nomination and won awards. Eddie Murphy was also nominated (and won awards) for Dolomite Is My Name ... released last year on Netflix too. Looks like you should be looking in more of what's being offered on streaming platforms (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video) since they have been the ones consistently putting out projects that are so good they are garnering more and more awards each year.
