I live in Texas, not far from Uvalde. It's so heartbreaking to see this again. I can't understand why so many people love their guns more than they love children.

I had a D-35 and 2 D-28's, I sold them all like a fool. But the Gibson J-60 I owned was a beast/cannon. I sold that too, stupid. The only acoustic I own now is one I built myself...It's a good, well made guitar. Oh well....

I met Charles Osgood about fifteen (15) years ago at the Morristown, NJ Performing Arts Center. He spoke about CBS Sunday Morning and the Journalism process utilized in completing stories for CBS Sunday Morning. Charles Osgood played one or two songs on a baby grand piano. Charles Osgood was a true gentleman who loved people. After the shoe, I was able to get meet and greet Charles Osgoid and get a picture taken with him. I have always thought CBS Sunday Morning is a very intelligent way of learning about current events and the world in general. They take the time to fully explain the situation. Charles Osgood will be truly missed by his family and all his worldwide fans. May Charles Osgood always rest in eternal heavenly peace with all the Angels and Saints in heaven forever. He was a lyrical poet, author, journalist and pianist whose talents wexwill never see again. We were definitely truly blessed to have him in the world.

My, wife and I are taking care of her Mother now. Unless you go through it you have no Idea. We are reaching the point we’ll have to move her to a care facility . Everyday is a new challenge and when they “come back” in memory it is heart wrenching, because it comes and goes so fast. Respect to all who know this personally.

While watching this, I looked at my room and imagined how my parents would feel if I were gone, how they would see my room, my textbooks everywhere, my novels, my soft board with photos of my favourite celebrities and my favourite movies. Will they remove it or just keep it untouched. Really painful to see their kids' room left untouched

When will someone do a first person video journal of a school shooter? With all due respect to the loved ones, the ostracization and mental anguish that usually creates a shooter only increases upon the suspect after the act. It's so bitterly ironic that so many words implying "goodness" and altruisim all contain the name of our species when we are anything but. Humanity. Humane. Humanitarian. Humanism. Our species is not only incapable of living up to the lofty ideals it romanticizes of itself, it is arrogantly unaware that it is not living up to those ideals. The plight of the emotionally disturbed is testament to this. Guns aren't the problem. Per capita, far less people own a gun today than in decades past; when laws were less restrictive and less enforced. The problem is some kind of deep seated, disconnection and loss in faith in the greater society. More restrictive gun laws are just a band-aid. Taking guns away from people just because they have any diagnosed history of mental illness or mental fitness is worse. It's like putting a band-aid next to a cut instead of on it. Statistically speaking, mentally ill or unfit persons are LESS likely to harm others: even if they own a weapon. Usually they harm themselves. They elusiveness of successfully diagnosing or predicting a mass shooter only highlights how poorly science understands the mind. The poor understanding comes from our species ( and all species) honest nature of just looking out for ourselves and our own. The measure of what makes a civilization "civilized" is how much it invests in those individuals within it that have no value and that may even be a drain on resources: the sick, the poor, the disenfranchised, it's criminal element, and it's mentally and emotionally unfit.

Gail obviously didn’t read Barbra’s book. Streisand is terrified to sing in public and has been for decades. Barbra Streisand is a beautiful, genuine, down to earth woman. Her rare talent is displayed on so many aspects of the entertainment world. She’s an American treasure

This isn't the question. The question is, did this reality just happen by chance or by design? And neal himself and others have said its absolutely impossible to say its not by design...

Not a Reagan fan, not really a fan of Noonan as well. However, perhaps if Trump had her write his speeches perhaps, he would sound more coherent and presidential.

😢 I thank God that my daughter’s life was spared at that mass shooting last week that happened on a college campus in Alabama. Her friend that was shot survived, but an 18 yr didn’t make it. He died saving another girl. I am beyond blessed. I pray for the 12 wounded and 16 injured.
