A gentle fluttering deluge of pearlescent props for Sarah Jane Adams. I'm 68, childless, but other than that, listening to her, watching her, I had such a strong feeling of connection. Warrior gals are we.

I think the most brilliant thing I have ever heard was when Sarah Jane Adams said she loved her cute little tummy because that is where her babies were. Oh my goodness - most of us suck it in or try to starve ourselves or exercise it off - when really we should be so proud that we were blessed with a child or children. From now on I will wear my belly like a badge of honor - which it is!! Our society stinks to high heaven for making us feel ashamed for not having a model's ultra thin and perfect body. I'm over it!! Thanks for bringing this wonder woman to us.

I have two grown children that are very well rounded people. I work...go to the gym...have a boyfriend...and express myself the way I want to. If you don't like me and judge me that's your problem...not mine. I used to feel intimidated. Not anymore and I am happier being more secure and accepting MYSELF.

Thanks for the wonderful videos! Found your channel only an hour ago. There's so little real information about post-menopause & about women aging. I am now 73 & I have felt much better (mood-wise) since finishing menopause. I had spent much of my adult life depressed, even when things were going better. But once I got through menopause (from about 50-54 yrs old) I began feeling much better. It took a few years but by my early 60s I was depressed much less often & generally just felt better than before. I'm not sure how long the body keeps producing these hormones but it took some time for me to start really feeling better. I think by my early 60s my body had stabilized re: hormone production & I felt very different, felt much better. And I have felt better since. It was as if I once again became my real self, the strong self I had been before adolescence & the start of the hormonal production. It took a few years.to learn to adjust once I was free of the hormonal cycles, having to think out what was going on & what I really wanted. I hadn't realized before how strongly those hormones affect not only our moods but what we want & how we live. At first it felt strange not to feel the sexual desires as before, & I had to think about this a lot & then come to accept the fact that I no longer felt that desire. Someone in different circumstances might choose to continue sexual relations, but for me it was liberating not to have hormones affecting my desires & behavior. There was an article in (I think) the Atlantic a few yrs ago about getting old & happiness. It described the changes most people experience once they get past middle age & into old age. (I hate the term 'senior' & would rather the term 'old' be used). The vast majority of people are less depressed & feel much better in the years past middle age. There should be more about this but especially about women & old age. During my adult life (teens into late 50s) I was often depressed, no matter what my circumstances. But once I got through menopause that ended. Since I was around 60 I have felt a lot better, & by my mid-60s even better. By late 60s & into 70s I've felt so much better that I would not want to exchange this age for 20 or 30 or any other younger age. I no longer have to deal with ongoing depression, I feel much more clear-headed & although occasionally I feel down for a short time (usually no more than a day, never for more than a few days), it's due to a real reason & I can usually do something about it. Once I got past menopause I stopped feeling sexual urges like I'd previously felt, but I was glad. My sexual urges had in past years led me to become involved with people who weren't.good for me--more often than not. Good riddance! There should be major news announcements about how most people are happier in older age. Statistically it's true but few people know it, at least among those not yet older. Since i became older, I enjoy life much more, worry less, am fairly often outright happy. (During adulthood previous to old age I was seldom actually happy. No matter my situation I would become depressed for months at a time. All that ended & I feel free again, my only regret re getting old being that I have less time on this planet. If only I could've felt this good during my adult years before! Other than being closer to death, the only thing that seriously bothers me is how older people are treated. In this society it's very bad. While I'm very glad not to have men stare at me when I step outside,it's sometimes disturbing how most people act as if I don't exist. It's as if I'm invisible. But that's a different story. If you're not old yet, you have something to look forward to! I wouldn't trade this age for anytime in my younger adult life--it's that much better.

Arriving "late to the table" - as I have just come across these amazing interviews of these gorgeous "older" women who have so much inherent grit and glamour! It's preposterous how corporate America perpetuates this YOUTH DRIVEN mentality, when honestly the "real" women reside and often flourish in the 50 and older demographic; I feel so inspired happening upon this You Tube channel and these incredible women you have interviewed and profiled ... thank you!

I can assure you that taking hormone therapy does not turn you into an alien. All bodies are different, all brains are different. HT saved my life and I'm still growing through menopause. The best thing was experiencing some of my oldest inner wounds spontaneously heal without effort. Old anger lifted. I'm more at peace, and I'm stronger and more fearless than ever - just like Sarah Jane. Our decisions and reasons for taking HT - or not - are entirely individual and personal. Thank you Sarah Jane, for being so vulnerable, vital and beautiful in front of the camera. It's cathartic seeing a courageous older woman's body revealed and proud (her hip ledge and her belly!) instead of hidden in shame.

Sarah, this was an absolutely INCREDIBLE one. Somehow DIFFERENT from all the others. I am 53, and I feel like I can SOOOOOOO RELATE to you and just about everything you said. You are absolutely BEAUTIFUL, and in much greater shape than me, probably because I have a chronic pain condition that causes me to end up in bed much of the time so I am weaker and not firm or fit. My condition along with menopause has forced me to begin telling others NO as well....and to stand for what I believe and what I need. I am so much healthier and stronger, emotionally and mentally, and relationally, than I used to be and although it has meant that I lost me entire family, my mum, Dad, brothers sisters and all their families, as welll as cousins and even some of my children and almost all my friends, because people don’t like it when you are honest or when you change on them, or when you stand up for your truth or for values and beliefs....and so they get ugly. But it’s okay. I don’t need the kind of people who need me to agree with them all the time and people who don’t like it when I am my own person or not afraid to be authentic. One thing I have HAD to learn to be tolerant and comfortable with is being vulnerable and transparent. I am learning to LOVE that like you love your tummy and your ledge. I wish I loved my body like you love yours. I would love being friends with a lady like you. You are awesome and very special! Thank you for sharing yourself with us! I really enjoyed yours. I have loved them all but yours has been my personal favorite! Well done ladies!!! You have created something fairly magical! It’s remarkable and beautiful and inspiring!!! Hugs!!! This has been the one that resonated with me the most I mean GOALS. When she said she feels like an alien in this world I could relate so much and she physically couldn’t conform to the idealisation of appropriateness with going to the Gala so she literally didn’t go. I literally had to quit jobs that required a uniform because it so wasn’t me and I felt depressed everyday like I was a product of the company and would lose my identity. I never had a job that required a uniform again. Nor did I ever get on with people at these jobs I was always isolated and made to feel like a weirdo. But now I really feel like I’ve come home to myself and I do agree with her disconnect from the western world the older I get the less London is the place for me it will always be s huge part of me but I think it’s time to part ways for a long while. Cheers to you Sarah you’re fab ; )
