Just grab a 350 or 370z for you both to band around. It’s a good first drift car, they get trashed usually and it’s easer to learn what you like. Then a vette, s-chassis or BMW 3 series to grow. If you want a head turner look for a JSX100 but the prices are nuts on 1js. A 1.5 is a great drift engine but most of the FD cars are running LS engines, cheep,reliable and you can get parts almost anywhere.

dude has no clue that the K20c1 is garbage compared to the old K's.. People keep saying "what is the point".. There is a massive point actually... The k20c1 is super limited, hard to tune, direct-injected, and no where near as reliable or stout. It also needs to headwork to get anywhere near the same head flow.. The k20c1 doesnt rev high either, nor does it have anywhere near the aftermarket.. Having an old port-injected K in that thing opens up soo many possibilities.

I respect each and every project car or bike or whatsoever even though it's not my own taste. But the amount of people being impressed, which in all, is more then fair. It's a great project! Glad you all enjoyed the event and went there, and I am so stoked seeing a drift car built coming. You have the FRS still but I can imagine that you'll pick up another car for it maybe even a damaged one as well. Some quality cars on the show as well. If at some point they do ride alongs on track while drifting definitely do it, it's so fun!
