Put a steel wool scrubber in with Vinegar and let soak, then paint it on the brown boards and it will make them a weathered looking grey!

Tiny cabin is coming together, and looking great! With all that barn wood, make a fire escape plan, especially with the kids, and for the guests. I'm sure you will, but that's just the teacher coming out of me. It is beautiful!

Stain the boards gray. Too much brown really makes a space look really small. It is all beautiful! I love the seam hidden with that shelf! I bet Lanie is going to love all of it! Gorgeous!!!! Congratulations on all your hard work!

Another youtuber named Jason from 'The Crockers' also found a Cardinal and the funny thing about it is that he is also building a tiny cabin. Lol them Cardinal's must be some kind of a good luck sign.

They also make an appearance during times of celebration as well as despair to let you know they will always be with you.

Hi, the vapour barrier is to prevent condensation forming in the walls in the winter.

I had a couple thoughts on a couple projects you've mentioned thru your build. I'm sure you or someone else may have mentioned it already and I've missed it. 1. Concerning the ladder, what about turning each rung into drawers for storage using drawer slides and making drawers (some deeper than others of course). 2. The Micro Hydro you mentioned, what about using a "ram pump" downstream as far as you can and pump the water back up (using water itself) to the Micro Hydro. I follow another channel Land to House and he has nearly perfected the "Ram pump". Anyway enjoying the build God Bless :)

I've seen a new trend of building new homes that are designed to look old. This includes cutting the boards on a band saws to give them the "rough-cut" look. The advantage is no holes but they aren't aged. The ole folklore is "A bird in the house means someone living in it will die". Nobody live in it so I'd say it doesn't apply. Maybe it's because it looks like an over sized birdhouse. LOL

I think you should have put a plastic vapor barrier up before the barn wood walls. You are going to get a lot of moisture transfer which can lead to rot and mold issues.

The insulation has a vapor barrier.. plus vapor barriers aren’t needed in our area because our climate isn’t high humidity like the south.

@@LoftisPartyofSix I understand the paper barrier, however you will produce a large amount of humid air from cooking, showers etc. Plastic will prevent more protection than the paper stuff.
