While I appreciate the work that went into this I don 't see the point. The outside looks traditional, connected to local history. On the inside however, we don't see a single stone, a warm, wooden floor, or the huge stone fireplace that apparently got covered over or removed. The inside has all of the sterile "charm" of an Airstream trailor. Why do this? Why not go "full Hobbit"?

I find these videos of people renovating these old brick farmhouses fascinating as we don’t have anything like them anywhere near me. It’s also always fascinating to see the different building materials and how things are done in different countries.

The two outer rows of roof tiles should be fixed with either nails or screws as well as every third or fourth tile to prevent the tiles to fly of in storms. The insulation bats was not fibreglass but stone fibre bats. I disapprove of the use of cheap inferior materials such as metal/ gipsum plaster walls. Indoor it is not possible to see that it is a historical building. The outside looks nice even the roof tiles are concrete. Sorry but I am not very impressed.

The good thing about ruined stone places is the materials are all gathered there. Its a tremendous amount of work to gather stone enuf for a building. Nice flat stones.

The roof is too modern in my opinion, it coul'd have been built with antique materials respecting the stone house style! I'd also use copper pipes for the rain not steel!
