When you just came from a concert abroad, literally!straight from Japan, one members is sick (D.O.), no rehearsal to MAMA actual stage, technical issues yet you dominate the crowd and stage, vocals on point despite the tiredness and sick members, dancing superb.. well that's Exo! If im not mistaken, this was when EXO just had their concert from different country then directly went to Hong Kong after the concert for MAMA2016 and had their rehearsal on the same day they arrived and stay at the venue to have some rest before MAMA start, yet EXO gave us another great-spectacular-performance. Hands down to these men.

This show...it was an amazing performance, with a LOT of problems that occurred during it! Chen ripped his pants...BAD, thankfully he had a long jacket, and he danced with that thing swinging around, like he had been doing that every time they performed these songs (PRO!), and he never stopped what he was doing. The camerawork is wretched, because EXO came directly from Japan (just got done with concerts) and they didn't have time to do a run through with Mnet, so the directors didn't know who to focus on. There was an elaborate story/concept, involving a lot of electronics that ended up failing, obviously the chokers being the biggest fail (Kai was NOT happy about this). But their vocals and dancing and professionalism/experience made up for all of it.

I just want to remind everyone who is new or isn't too familiar with EXO that whenever you see something supernatural or scientific themed with their content it's ALL connected to their ongoing storyline concept. EVERYTHING and I do mean everything they release as a group, sub unit and even solo are somewhat connected to their storyline concept. It isnt like mosnter is big at itself (because yes, is big) is that EXO are performing, exo back to 2014-15-16-17 and even 2018 were the most popular group in the kpop, here you cannot hear well the fanchats because the music were really loud, and they edited the video to hear the voices of the members easily, but if you search the fancams you can hear the fans and the fanchats because exol as always transform this shows in exo concerts, exol is well recognized for being big in number, and loud, you can search it throug internet and even other idols surpriced with exol fanchats.

actually baekhyun is pronounced more like "bek-hyon" because his name (백현) when romanized is "baek-hyeon". you don't say the baek like the word cake. (애) or "ae" in korean is like the sound of "a" in words like bad, bat, cat, or candy (i had to). it's different with (에) or "e" which sounds like the "e" in words like egg or bed. just a quick lesson 😊

They really deliver an amazing performance here. EXO had a series of concert in Japan prior to this and they flew from Japan to Hongkong on the same day. They have no time to rest bcos they need to rehearse. Also, Sammy you need to watch the VCR of this performance to understand the concept of their stage. You will appreciate this stage more.

baekhyun is exo's unofficial main dancer! he's always had so many solo dance stages in their grand performances ❤️ he's always been astonishing at dancing while hitting high notes! that's why he's the only exo vocal soloist who took the performer route for his solo career instead of just singing vocal ballads like other vocalists members. even if he has hypothyroidism! truly the most all-rounded member of exo!

At the end, they all ‘died’(?) but then Baekhyun came back to life (the others were still lit blue and he turned red). Unfortunately, there was a technical difficulty. There was a mechanical heart stuck to his chest that was supposed to start glowing (beating, ??). That’s why he ripped his shirt open. I guess the adhesive wasn’t sweat proof and it came unstuck. If you blink you’ll miss it, but you can see a metallic disc fall off in the middle of his dance and roll across the stage. btw EXO-Ls are *always* that loud. It’s crazy!

I also want to point out that when EXO used to attend award shows up until Hong Kong Mama 2017 (and we all know why they stopped) the venue would be filled with ExoLs because the Fanchants were crazy loud back then and you can see Alot and I do mean alot of Eribongs moving with the beat/tempo of their songs when EXO performs.. Yup, you got four members right. Chen took off his jacket because of ripped pants. You also mentioned D.O. and Xiumin (X is pronounced as "S" not "Z" so it's more Siumin) and Baekhyun did the solo at the end. Since you're going to watch the guide (hopefully the Cesar Oh one) you should be able to hear the correct pronunciation of his name there :) The two guys that did a dance break in the middle were Kai (blonde one) and Sehun (with black hair). Because camera work didn't necessarily focus on the members that were singing at the time it'll be hard to name the others, so I'll just mention their names: Suho, Lay and Chanyeol. The entire performance and the VCR before it are connected to their concept which is pretty complicated so I won't get too much into it :P Let's just say that the chokers were there to control them.
