P-1 has been excellent open 24/7, professional knowledgeable customer service & Tech Support, in field technicians, armed response company in my local market. I am considering Brinks now for my new home.

Hope you never need service, hope you don't ever TRY to cancel. Hope you don't mind them raising your rate without telling you, hope you don't cancel your credit card to get them to stop stealing money out of your account, then somehow get your new credit card number and start stealing money again. Hope you have hours to wait on hold for customer service to answer the phone.

I actually have an old brinks security kit panel, motherboard keypads and all, even wiring. I just need to set it up but I feel like I'm missing stuff from it and I'm overall clueless on how to, so it's been boxed up for a while. I'll get it to work sometime soon because I'm giving up Monitronics (Pinnacle Protection) and installing the brinks if I can get it to work. If not, I'll get a wireless Ademco system and use that.

Brinks customer service is the WORSE. I have called 5 x's waiting over an hour on all calls. I wanted to transfer the service and installation appointments are sparse and was scheduled 30 days out...mind you I'm still being billed. My appointment time came up and the appointment was canceled 2 hrs before the appointment. I've been charged for service I do not have. I called at 8:05am when they open at 8am and I've been holding over 40 minutes. I want out of this contract ASAP. I'm starting to feel like they are trying to wait me out.

I just need the basic hook without those bells and whistles, such as reminding me a about the doors and windows being open. I have the “Ring” and it’s sufficient for me. Will they give out extra windows and doors alert? I need six windows and 4 doors alarm?

Devin Giles. They sold their home security brand which adt bought but the brinks name stayed with them. Now they are using their name to increase sales in the monotronics systems. Monotronics/ moni is now branded as BRINKS.

ADT bought a bunch of smaller brands and were merged with protection one by a NY based M&A firm. Now they are a $15 billion company designed to build accounts, not spend any money if possible and then they will go public again in the near future? That’s where they will make their money and the culture of the company will change rapidly thereafter. Brinks home security has been reborn under the company Moni, out of Dallas. They are a great company in spite of some growing pains?

I’ve had nothing but trouble with brinks. If I wasn’t under contract I’d be changing for sure. Customer service is atrocious! Most recently this issue - I called to say I was locked out of my house because the door lock keypad wasn’t working ... the technical Support woman put me On hold then came back and said she had tested it and it was working properly. Well it wasn’t... I was locked out. She hung up on me - but no information on how to change it. Today I get a message from brinks to my email saying the battery is low .. stay away from overpriced under serviced brinks.

Don't get Brinks Home Security. For they have sales people where there is no technician and get people sign up for 3 years contract. This happened to my Grandparents and shortly after getting set up they realized that the smoke detector was not working properly. They call and never got a replacement one. Yet my Grandparents still pay them. After our family got involved we where told about the contract that was doc-u-signed in Grandparents name even though my grandparents don't have a computer and don't even remember signing anything. The company is not going to make sure their equipment works and yet expect people to pay for their contracts. My grandparents only had it a year we did get the service canceled but we had to pay them for the full contract term.

I have been with Brinks for a number of years trying to get replacement parts is a nightmare, signed up for a new system three to four months ago still have not received equipment once they get you in a contract you have to keep calling with the same story 7-10 days it has been 3-4 months l will never recommend or endorse brinks for me is having brinks is like having nothing at all I will call brinks again tomorrow to try to cancel again and get the same story buyer beware

Hi, while Brinks does have a deal with Nest, it my current understanding that to view your Nest Doorbell, you will still have to use the Nest Mobile App. You can continue to use the Nest Hello, but your integration will be somewhat limited.

Brinks technicians is a joke they can have there equipment back I’ve had it for a month sitting in the box he’s the only technician in my area so he say I can only install in the morning so I said good make sure you pick up your equipment it will be outside the door what a joke!!

Stay away from Brinks like you would stay away from someone you think has the rona. I worked for that company for years as a Messenger and while the job itself was fun in a grunt way Corporate was horrible. I've heard horror stories about their home security division and I am not surprised. Brinks will leave your ass hanging with no response for months.

REVIEW ON BRINKS HOME SECURITY MAY 24, 2021 - MONDAY TO: DISTRIBUTION TO ALL POSTED BELOW FROM: CYNTHIA TIBBS; TAMPA FLORIDA It is with clear conscience that I expose to any and all unsuspecting security searching future customers for a home security company, this is my succinct opinion review as a Verified Customer which for me is set to end: February 2022! Brinks Security is the ‘umbrella’ for 3rd Party Companies that I have been able to identify: The one which deceptively maneuvered me into a contract when I was desperate and in need of Home Security: “Direct Protect Security.” I was solicited during 2019 Super Bowl week; was told that I was under no obligation; but that they needed to check my credit history and therefore needing my Social Security Number (SSN) which I supplied to the customer service person via phone, and this is where the descent into deceit and my nightmare began. I was continuing my due diligence research with others to compare for the best deal. I came across another company, for which I was happy due to it having all the “bells & whistles.” That company within days phoned to inform me that they were also “Brinks” and due to my having disclosed my SSN to “Direct Protect Security” I was therefore LOCKED from their signing me as it is Brinks Policy and would/could not be considered a potential customer until a ninety (90) day period had elapsed because they were a 3rd Party Vendor under the ‘umbrella’ of “Brinks” all the while like the others each CONSISTENTLY referring to and answering phones as “Brinks Security Company!” In my frustrated desperation I stupidly signed a three (3) year contract (February 25, 2019) and pay the monthly cost: $61.00+; I’ve spoken with a “Shaun”; a “Chad”; an “Alan”-Manager in Mexico and a “Candella” and all stating there is no additional information or communication details on my account! On 5.14.21 at 09:00am, I called “Brinks” and this call lasted one (1) hour and twenty (20) minutes this CSR stated, “I must pay $50.00 for service”; I then requested to speak with a Manager and I was connected to an “Alan”-in Mexico; I very distastefully I must ‘Thank’ Alan because he was clear and deliberate in dissuading all misgivings I still held onto for the treatment I was afforded regarding lack of care, lack of respect and total disregard for me a customer; he made it explicitly clear that he cared no more for me than one would for an ant across the street. In detail, he stated I have four (4) options: 1) Have ‘someone’ that I know take a look at it.” 2) I must “pay $150.00 to have a technician come to me to stop the constant, in sequence of 3-error beeping sounds that I learned later meant I had no connection to the Brinks Security Server”; and due to the device placement it was not an option for me myself to trouble shoot (with his stating I had to remove the face plate via a screw on the top of the device which only has a 1.5 inch top clearance space; 3) I could consent to a “FREE” technician to come to my home; but I must extend my “Brinks” contract an additional TWELVE (12) months; or 4) I could unplug the keypad device and let the battery die; an upon my asking Alan and then what happens he glibly stated, “It’s your equipment.” Today, 5.24.21 beginning at 12:09EST (this call completed in roughly three (3) hours) I optimistically decided to give one more try and was assisted by a “DeVaughn” who like the others informed me she would send me my numerously requested, and as yet not received “CONTRACT.” To her credit she stayed on the line with me until I was connected to a Senior Manager-Hector Silva employee ID: #89816 of Brinks Corporate Office in Dallas, Texas. It is important to note that none of the previous customer service persons, prior to my speaking with Senior Manager Hector Silva, refused to give me not so much as a last name and all claimed to not have Customer Service ID numbers. Senior Manager Hector Silva has given me, what he believes makes my duration with Brinks more palatable the offers of: 1) My only having to deal with Brinks Corporate; 2) Opportunity to Repair and/or Replace the System; 3) Two (2) Months Free; 4) 20% Off the remaining in place contract; 5) Lower the monthly fee by $10.00; 6) supply me with all the “Bells & Whistles” I wanted from my original due diligence search and finally; 7) change the monthly cost from the now $61.00+ to $24.99. In addition, he stated, “I cannot release you from the contract made by the 3rd Party Company-Direct Protect Security.” To this I posed a question to question to Senior Manager Hector Silva: “If you had a child who was in a school sport and that said child was verbally and mentally bullied by the Coach; ostracized; not allowed to leave the bench and upon finally your traumatized child tells you as a parent all that had occurred would you allow your child to return to that control of that coach?” Senior Manager Hector Silva responded, “No. His child would not even return to that school.” The above is what and how I feel; with every moment their devices are in my home I FEEL ABSOLUTELY ASSUALTED; STUPID AND SHAMED; I ALLOWED THIS TO HAPPEN AND CONTINUE! What I hope to gain by my full disclosure is this: To any and all who read; hear of; or note I hope that I can save anyone/someone the mental and nerve disrupting assault I have endured with my high-jacked continuing non-consensual Security association with Brinks. My requests to “Brinks” was release me at this time from my remaining months and will take two (2) steps back, turn and walk away; and never speak the name “Brinks” again; or continue my remaining monthly deductions $61.00+ and I will, after fully and publicly expression of my review, this communication to be completed today and after today I will still take the two (2) steps back, turn and walk away. Then with all that was communicated Brinks Senior Manager Hector Silva disclosed one (1) final humiliation for me: “Although my contract will end February 2022 it will self-renew on a “Month to Month” basis until I put in writing, and only then, a letter stating “I want to cancel the contractual month to month auto-renewal by written statement that and that “I Do Not Want to Renew My Brinks Security Contract.” CLEARLY, IT IS NOT ABOUT ME EXTORTING; BECAUSE I REJECTED THE BELOW: “Senior Manager Hector Silva has given me, what he believes makes my duration with Brinks more palatable-the offers: 1) My only having to deal with Brinks Corporate; 2) Opportunity to Repair and/or Replace the system; 3) Two (2) Months Free; 4) 20% Off the remaining in place contract; 5) Lower the monthly fee by $10.00; 6) supply me with all the “Bells & Whistles” I wanted from my original due diligence search, and finally; 7) Change the monthly cost from the now $61.00+ to $24.99.” THIS IS ABOUT WHAT IS RIGHT AND WHAT IS WRONG! I HAVE BEEN WRONGED AND ASSAULTED AS PROVEN BY THE FACTS: 1) I WAS LIED TO FOR THIS COMPANY TO GAIN ME AS A CUSTOMER; 2) I HAD NO SECURITY CONNECTION TO THE BRINKS SERVER FOR ALMOST, IF NOT A YEAR; 3) I’VE SPENT HOURS TALKING TO CSR’S WHO DIDN’T AND WEREN’T HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR LACK OF INTEGRITY BY A COMPANY THAT HAS NO ENFORCEMENTS OR RULES FOR INTEGRITY; 4) NO FOLLOW-UP IN REGARD TO THE LACK OF SERVER COMMUNICATION; 5) ALL THE WHILE AUTO-COLLECTING CONSISTENTLY MONIES FOR NO OTHER REASON EXCEPT THAT THEY COULD; AND THE MAJOR ONE; 6) FOR MAKING ME FEEL TOTALLY ASSAULTED AND STUPID FROM THE BEGINNING AND EACH AND EVERY TIME I HAD TO SPEND HOURS ON THE PHONE THROUGH THE YEARS AND THEIR BLANTANT DISREGARD BECAUSE THEY DIDN’T CARE OR BELIEVE THAT THE CUSTOMER HAD NO RECOURSE AND THE COMPANY DISBELIEVING AN ANY RAMIFICATIONS ALL THE WHILE COLLECTED THEIR AUTO-PAYMENT WITHOUT A SINGLE REGARD OR RESPECT FOR “ME” AND ANY OTHER CUSTOMER THAT HAS HAD TO DEAL WITH NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE(S). NO MANNER OF CORPORATE MANIPULATION OF THESE FACTS CAN UNDO WHAT HAS BEEN DONE TO ME! CC: BRINKS CORPORATE OFFICE: P.0.
