Samus was a lot cooler when I didn't know what she looked like under the suit. Everytime I saw her eyes through the helmet it felt so cool. Samus always seemed like a force of nature or a machine, but it would always remind me that she was indeed human. It still does I suppose, though I don't think we ever needed to see more of Samus besides the glimpse we get when she dies.
