I have knitted brioche successfully through another pattern of yours, though it's probably one of the more difficult stitches and told myself I was once and done... Until these. Wow. I think I might have to try a couple of these (if not the whole book.) Love that I can use up small balls of yarn in larger projects. Thank you!

These particular patterns are among the top five SW designs! I’m impressed ! I love love brioche but the subtle and light additions of brioche -not overstated at all! I’m finally convinced to cast on my first Westknits sweater (after knitting a gazillion shawls!)

Brilliant patterns as usual! I've not done a lot of Brioche so I will begin with the hat or socks. The sweater is really calling to me though!

I'd be curious to see what happens if you set up a spectrum or a gradient of colours, let's call them A, B, C, D, E, etc and then work the jumper or the cardigan or the shawl with yarns A & B together, then yarns B & C, then C & D, etc. (You'd need to split each of the balls into two to be able to work the brioche sections.) You could do it so that there's a lot of movement in the colour and perhaps some slightly unexpected directions. I don't have enough yarn in my stash to do that. Unfortunately, I also don't have enough time to knit everything I would like to try.

Living in the Deep South, it doesn’t get cold enough, or long enough, to wear a DK weight sweater. Could I just knit it in a fingering weight, taking into account the different gauge?

Of course! I recommend creating a swatch to check your gauge and to make sure you like the drape of the fabric. Good luck!
