Great video bro . I have a 11 footer intex mariner 4 . Ive been wanting to mod it out for a few years now . I love how you modified the trailer . You should do a how to video on how you did it . I would love to be able to haul my boat on a trailer . If i could do that i wouldnt have to set up and tear down every time i want to use my boat

I have the same boat, with a merc 25 2 stroke, and Simrad GO 9 XSE. I added bimini and Renogy 170 solar to top of bimini, and Victron MPPT and have a lithium battery pack to run everything. Also installed a Whale Supersub bilge pump under deck. and have a Waeco cooler converted to a live well. Great boat so far, no real issues. Greetings from Sydney, Australia mate!

Thanks for the video! What do you think your speed is at 75% throttle? I'm in the research phase of getting an inflatable and a motor. Speed for me will be a high priority since I'm planning on going up to 20 miles to certain spots. Thanks in advance!

I'd say it'd be around 15 MPH. Speed was never a concern when I put this all together. 20 mph is plenty fast for what I need it for...lol.

Awesome video. Ive got the 16 ft version of this boat and i just bought a 30 hp etec motor for it today. Im interested in your trailer set up and seeing how you support the transom and motor while in travel! Right now i have my boat on just a flat deck trailer, i just deflate the keel when i load it up and inflate it before i launch it. I get my transom onto the deck itself so its supported, and then i have whats called a transom saver which is a little arm thats attached to the frame of the trailer and comes up from below the transom and supports the outboard by the lower unit so all that weight isnt prying on my transom when i hit pot holes. Id love an update video on your boat and more upgrades youve done it it or things you would reccomend or not reccomend doing to it

Thanks man!! I thought about getting that 16 ft. but figured Id start with the 12.5 ft. A 30HP should be plenty for that boat. Lol. I have a single support as well that supports the transom from the main frame, and an inch or so on each side of the transom that sits on the same supports as the tubes..as for the motor, I have an outboard motor mount (called a "transom saver" that mounts motor in the up position) that removes most all of the weight of the motor off the transom and is supported to the trailer frame. I'll do an updated video with everything attached and a little more explanation of what I did to the trailer. I did retrofit trailer for this boat exactly, so I suspended the boat completely inflated with ratchet straps from my garage ceiling so I could hang the boat over the trailer to get exact locations of bunk rails, etc. That help alot as you know the boat is light, but too heavy/akward for one person to manage. Thank you so much! I do, in fact, have the same boat and with the SAME air I put in it when I first got it. It's held up great so far, but I do keep it stored in the garage ALL year round, so that makes a difference. Thanks for watching.

I don't quite get why anyone would choose a Inflatable on a trailer(If you live in a Apartment and have to store the inflatable boat every time Ok). Same size and weight(and price) A Aluminum or Poly Boat, will have twice the space. I started with a inflatable back in the 1970's, then upgraded to a 12 ft alluminum Starcraft. Cartoped it for several 1000's miles. 4 persons with room to spare, tons of gear, and most of the time by myself. Would never go back to inflatable

@@WillyK51 yes because I don't have space to store the aluminium boat. The new houses just get smaller and many need to live in apartments. But we still want to get a boat, unless you can suggest better options

Thanks!! They have some glue on D rings you can put anywhere. This came with like 16 D rings on it, so Im probably good. Lol

Holding up great so far, but I do keep it in the garage and out of the sun, which I'm sure helps ALOT. And still has the ORIGINAL air in it!!

What gauge is the unistrut for your boat bunks and assembly processes

I believe it is 12 gauge. Was stock at a local hardware store.

So, how do you scuba out of it? I'd assume getting onto the boat with scuba gear would be a pain after a dive. Do you anchor then solo dive or someone always on the boat... ?

Typically easiest to take gear off, re-enter the boat, then pull in your gear. Just make sure BCD has air in it to keep it floating while re-entering. Honestly, its easier than walking up a ladder on a typical dive boat with all your gear on.

Thats actually a trolling motor mount. It was there to clamp the board on that the transducer is mounted to(didnt want to drill thru the transom). But I did notice too that it would make a great flag mount.

I have no problem getting this boat on plane. Had 2 adults, 3 kids(6yr olds), on it and still planed great. You'll be fine with that motor. Amount of weight and weight distribution will be the biggest factor towards how fast you can get on plane. You'll love it!!

Hey. I use the Scotty 367 universal fish finder mount, good for up to a 9in display. Has worked great!

@Todd Wade Not a problem. That one I have listed in the description. It's a scotty type mount arm that is a quick connnect. I believe one of my videos shows that in a little more detail.

What glue do you recommend for the scotty mounts?

Ive always used HH-66 PVC Vinyl Cement Glue. Works great so long as you follow the directions. :) Can get it on Amazon.

Is there any issues with the location of the transducer ? Any interference ?

There does seem to be a little interference on the side of the transducer that faces the motor. Given how small the transom is and cant get it any further away from the motor, I will most likely be moving it to a different location using a Scotty mount off side of one of the tubes, and just lift it out of water when traveling high speeds.

Yes. Since the transom is supported by trailer and motor is supported by transom saver, all the heavy weight is on the trailer. Have had no issues.

So far I really like it. It is holding up very well. It is garage kept (always inflated on trailer) and always cleaned after taking out, so that def. helps.

I bought the 16 ft last year. Have a 20hp merc for it. Would fold it up and store everything in the back of my F150 all summer. Only issue I have is making sure you inflate the boat and keel properly to give a smooth ride and planing. Makes a world of difference.

I used a normal boat trailer for a 19 ft run-around boat, stripped it and modified it to fit this exact boat. I've seen other use a typical 4x8 trailer slightly modified as well.

Surprisingly enough, I've had zero problems. But I do take care of it as it's garage kept when not in use. Still has the same air in it as the day I first pumped it up.
