I would like to start blowing through the cooling system which many people and service manuals recommends before longer time storage periods (it's not specifically about Kawasaki skis). What worries me is a possibility to blow remaining water from the nooks and crannies of the system into the motor if an exhaust valve is open. Not even by just pushing it into the motor, but by dragging it with the air stream. Out of tens of winterization videos on KZbin, only one person addresses this. Can you provide your comment on it? Is this possible? If yes, mostly in theory, or in practice as well?
@BrisbaneKawasaki Жыл бұрын
In Australia we don't winterize engines. We wouldn't be the best people to ask.

3 Very decent revs, without valve bouncing. Then 1hr later, start it back up and 1 more decent rev. You'll find even the following week if you start it up again more water will come out. After the 3rd start and blow out it should be the driest it's going to get on it's own @@Skip11AM

When do i must use fogging and is the fogging important or not if yes please tell me why
@BrisbaneKawasaki3 жыл бұрын
Hi Khlaid, do you have the owners manual that came with your ski? That will explain why you should fog the charger after use. In short, you are putting a small amount of anti-corrosive agent over the teflon rotors, to ensure they don't bind together when in storage. The reason you do this is, sometimes you get water in the hull when riding, and the ski is in a marine environment. Salt air and very small tolerances on the supercharger rotors (to create high boost), means it is quite easy for them to bond together if corrosion starts form whilst in storage. If you ride the everyday, it wouldn't be necessary but still good practice.

Hi Andrew, Depends on how long in between are you riding? If you are riding every day in fresh water, fogging the charger probably isn't all that necessary, but if it is 7 days in between, than a like 4 second fog is good for it. It coats the rotors in light anti-corrosive film ensuring it won't cease up when in storage. Doesn't hurt if only spraying for 4 seconds, but if you spray until the motor stops, overtime the intercooler will be clogged up and need to be removed and cleaned of oil.

In Florida, we don't use WD-40 as it pulls the salt in and intensifies corrosion...we use CRC Industries 06007 6-56 Multi-Purpose Marine Lubricant - 11oz.

On the 310X Ultra if it has to be towed in the water for whatever reason are there any specific lines that have to be pinched that prevents water from getting into the engine like Sea-Doos? Thank you

Hi, my supercharger don't sound like is kicking on. Got it from someone that didn't use it for 2years. When I got it in the water it would only go 40, but after a while of riding it went to 56, then lost power ,only went 5 miles to make it out the water. Got home and broke the belt. I put a new one on but it doesn't sound like supercharger is kicking in. What can I do? Oh jet ski is a 2011 kawasaki ultra 300x.

Hi mate, not something we can help with over the internet. That sort of thing needs to go to a mechanic.
