Well watching after midnight on Sunday. Had a great day today.. I am 68 and the special man in my life is 73 ; we had Sun School and church this morning; made tea at church for fellowship with food after singing. Leftovers for lunch at my house. Then made little smokies in crescent rolls for tonight at church. Back to my house - watched part 2 of Jesus of Nazareth - and talked till after midnight. He went home. Been crocheting and watching and so enjoying every bit of your video. God bless you, Big Daddy your wonderful sons. + Four legged babies of the house. Yarn container I love it. ❤❤❤😊😊😊

Hi Kayla! Your outside space that your boys made for you looks very comfy and inviting! We had one 80 degree day last week and now it’s back in the 50s for the next week here in New Hampshire. At least I have kept my bedroom window open a smidge in the past week. It still gets cold at night but I am loving the fresh air. 😊 I am also crocheting with Caron blossom cakes. Just making a simple granny square blanket for my daughter. She and her husband and 4 year old son live with me. They just moved back from Maine and the housing market is just too expensive right now. She takes good care of me and I am loving seeing life through the eyes of a four year old. You are a great inspiration and blessed that you have Big Daddy who obviously loves you very much ❤

Sounds like a date on Sundays! I like that idea. Instead of netflix, it’s crochet. I’m at my daughters house dog sitting, crocheting and watching your video. Tuesday i get to make a three hour drive home. I can’t wait to get to sleep in my own bed. I’m sleeping on a foam bed right now at my daughters house. She is moving from a rental house to her first house she bought. I need my bed lol 😂. Anyways you have a wonderful day Kayla.

It was nice to sit and talk with you. I understand why you dread March and April due to what has happened in the past. Every year on my birthday it brings a bad memory. My daughters mother in law would call and wish me a happy birthday or bring me something. My daughter called and said Karen won't be calling you today. I said ok I'll talk to her tomorrow. She said no mom, she died today. Your boys were so awesome helping rebuild the house. My son helped us but now has ALS and can't. I have no particular favorite yarn, just whatever is good price and quality. I learned with Red Heart and use Mainstays and some others. Through grade school, we had to wear dresses or skirts. Until middle school. My mom made me wear saddle shoes during grade school, too. Then, in middle school, the girls wore them, and I refused. Hugs and love 😇🤗🥰

I love when you chat I can watch you forever. I wish I live next door to you. I don't know anybody that crochets but I am teaching my sister to crochet now and of course she wants all my yarn stash. That's not gonna happen but I did give her quite a bit of yarn to get her started. She has already made 5 Pancho's on her own so she's done very well but I wish I had friends like you that just consider round and talk and crochet day I. Don't know anybody in this town. We moved here because my husband had to do dialysis here now. He got a kidney and hes done so I want to move back to Austin Minnesota which is better known as Spam town. Thank you so much for sharing love watching you god bless❤

With my MS that will be my son and I go to Walmart after dark in the summer because the humidity in New England it’s nothing compared to Louisiana, but we have very cold winters and cooler falls and spring is just a hot mess. So we get a wide variety of weather, but the humidity in the summer just wiped all my energy out so we do everything we can after dark. And the funny thing is even though it’s that hot in the summer here we still have a bonfire almost every weekend able to wear it. Lol

I really enjoyed crocheting while “visiting” with you. I hear you about March and April being sad for you. December and January are the months in which I lost my parents, so when the date pops up, I always feel melancholy and even teary at times. Hearing about the flood and all the heartache it caused you, well I can only imagine what you went through. It’s times like that when you really depend on your faith to see you through. Your yarn ball jar is a cute idea. I have all of my scrap yarn in a 2-gallon zip up plastic bag--not very pretty! Thanks for letting us hang out with you for a while….❤️

You are so right about our weather here in Louisiana -- North LA, anyway. I know it is also bad farther south, because I grew up in West Central Louisiana. I don't really like Winter, but Summer is hard, too, especially since I have had these health issues. I know what you mean about the heat making you sick. I can't take it, either. If we didn't have AC we might would have to move! :) I remember the floods, too. We were spared but farther south in Bossier Parish, it was really, really bad. I prayed for people in those situations. Nothing you could do, and through no fault of your own, you (that includes all who were flooded) lost so much. But, as you said, Jesus got you through. Without Him, we would not make, I am sure. :) Thanks for sharing your pictures. I like the little June sculpt. My favorite is the 3-year-old June. There was a prototype of her that was just fabulous! I only have the 7 month sculpt, and I haven't made it yet. I have a lot of them and I don't know if I will ever get them made or not. But it is another hobby that is there when I get to it. :) I would like to see pics of your Reborns in the setting there your boys made you. They sure do love their Mom!

I found a great hack to secure the ends of your yarn balls. Bobby pins are fairly inexpensive and work very well for this. They are easy to push in and easy to push back out. I also use them as stitch markers when I don't want to fuss with the locking kind. The bobby pins don't fall out like the little split rings do and again, they are easy to push off the stitch when you are done with them.

I just finished making a dreamcatcher. I have lots of things to make. I’ll be busy! I’m sorry to hear that you were flooded and had to rebuild your house. That’s rough. I grew up in Northern CA, and the earthquakes were scary. We didn’t lose our home, luckily, but when the Loma Prieta quake hit in October of 1989, it felt like our trailer might rock over onto it’s side. Now, I’m in Ohio and it’s fine. Hi Miss Kayla! It was nice visiting with you today! Regarding favorite yarn, have you ever used Stylecraft? I think it’s similar to Premier, but it’s from England. I crocheted a mosaic blanket that my daughter requested and it called for Stylecraft yarn. It’s size4 and acrylic/wool mix and comes in all kinds of colors. I also like Premiere. I’m currently crocheting all the parts for that Persian Tiles blanket with that yarn! Regarding pants-well, I am 62 years old and originally from Pittsburgh, PA. I remember as a little kid in school, we could not even wear pants when it snowed (public school mind you!). If we wore pants, we had to have a dress or skirt over the pants and take the pants off once we got to school! That seems so old fashioned now! But I remember those times!! Thanks for the wonderful conversation. You are amazing!!❤

Hello Miss Kayla. I loved crocheting with you today. Thank you. I don't think I have a favorite yarn. I use red heart, Caron and I Love This Yarn. I usually just use 4 weight and acrylic or cotton. Have a great day.

Hi Miss Kayla 💖🤗. I'm sitting here working on a virus shawl and crocheting with you. I am really enjoying this and I thank you so much. Please know that you had a visitor with you that really enjoys your company and your stories 😊. It's like having a crocheting friend even though I don't have a crocheting friend so thank you for that. Be well sweet lady and looking forward to your next video already. Blessings and much love 💗💗💗🙏. Oh and by the way I think my favorite yarn might be Hobby Lobby's I love this yarn.✌️. I'm a lover of yarn though. Never met too many I didn't like 😅

I’m not a yarn snob either. I just can’t use more than 20% wool or it eats me up. Also April is good and bad month for me. I got married on April 20th, 96 and on April 25th, 96 5 days after I got married I got ran over by Semi truck. I’m here today because the Lord didn’t need yet. So I understand a little about what you’re talking about. Thanks for sharing! Have a good night!!!
