The romanization of the Korean word is Valkyrie isn't it? The name of the song is actually in hangul and Valkyrie is the romanization but v sounds like b or bui when translated to korean

C.C. True Valkyrie and balkhiri is similar and such and perhaps it could be just a romanization. But in the translation of the lyrics they aren’t saying Valkyrie with a b or bui sound. They are saying a word in korean that is similar to Valkyrie it’s just balkhiri or “shine the light” instead,right? I’m pretty sure if a translation is looked up that the translation won’t include the word Valkyrie too much in the lyrics but instead “shine or brighten the light” I’m pretty sure that the group is using some clever word play here..

Valkyrie is the mythological creature from nordic legends, who guided warriors who died on war to the Valhalla, so basically a Valkirye is a creature who guides to the light. Balkiri in korean means Lightned, so they are just playing with the concept and pronunciation. Also the entire music video plays around with the lights coming into this post apocaliptic/brown-ish/dark sets, (and yeah, with the old kind of kpop vibe), the mini album is called LIGHT US, and the group logo is inspired in the moon, so all this debut is going around with the light, as a way to viewers to 'light them up'. I really loved it. BTW one of the rappers, RAVN helped producing this song and other song on the mini, and both rapers helped on writing lyrics to all of the songs on the mini, and the members choreographed themselves Valkyrie. I truly recomend listening to the full mini, you will find a lot of different charms from the group. They are from RBW, Mamamoo's agency, and some members participated on Produce 101 Season 2, and others on MixNine, the have been doing pre-debut concerts and guerillas for a long time so they've gainend a fanbase before debuting. Members in order of appereance on last part of the MV: LeeDo (deep voice rapper who can also sings, was training under YG) - Wings Xion (maknae, visual, has a twin on ONEWE, originaly training to be an actor) - I'm pretty sure his eyes changes color here Hwanwoong (Main dancer, Produce 101, smol) - Telekinesis Keonhee (Main vocal, Produce 101, a meme) - Invisibility Seoho (Main vocal 2, Produce 101 and MixNine, sunshine) - Levitation RAVN (composer, rapper, vocal MA BOI HAS IT ALL, also trained under YG, JYP and Plan A, was meant to debut with Victon) - Not sure about his superpower, I had read some theories about him being the Valkyrie, or maybe a dimension/time traveler. Oneus is a group from RBW (Mamamoo's company) there are six members and they are all amazing! There is another group RBW should be debuting soon called Onewe, which they are super close to Oneus, and even have a predebut song together called last song. 3:29 There is Ravn the oldest member and the leader! He wore the crazy outfits, did the back bend, and had most of the screen time. 2:59 Then there is Seoho, he is the very attractive blonde, and everyone's bias wrecker. He is main vocalist. 2:25 Then we have Leedo,( my bias!!!) He had the deep voice and the dark black hair. His positions are Lead Rapper, Lead Dancer, and Lead Vocalist. 1:30 Next is Keonhee, He had brown hair and most of the vocal lines. He didn't really stand out in the music video because lack of screen time, but during interviews and other things like that he really stands out as the down to earth and funny member. His position is main vocalist. 0:53 and 1:34 Then we have Hwanwoong, he has the light brown hair and is a total visual (I mean they all are but like... Hwanwoong) He is Main Dancer, Lead Vocalist and Sub-Rapper. 5:30 Finally we have Xion, the maknae. He unfortunately got little lines and screen time for this song and MV but his vocals are still amazing. He has a twin brother who is also in RBW entertainment and should be debuting soon in Onewe. So yeah! That's all the members of Oneus! Personally I think this is one of the best debut songs in "Newer" kpop. I really suggest stanning these boys... I love them so much and I'm glad you enjoyed their MV! I hope to see you react to more of their music in the future!

Omg I didn’t know if you would react to them or not but I’m so glad you did! But yeah the whole use of the word Valkyrie and the word for light up in Korean “balkerie” ( it’s spelled something like that) is supposed to be a play on words. Since they’re referring to a female with wings (like an angel or Valkyrie) and she lights up their life they just decided to play with the two words, and personally I found that super creative and unique and pretty cool. Loved the reaction!
