Okay so here’s my theory - There are two worlds. That’s why they sing “throw myself into both worlds”. There’s the Shadow world and Ego world. The wall separates the two causing unbalance and chaos. - Yoongi represents Shadow and J-Hope represents Ego. Both worlds are out of control without balance so everything is dying. - The war scene at the beginning everyone must’ve been dead because it’s only Jin and someone else in the background (like every MV ever except this guy didn’t look like he was wearing a mask.). - They gave us a hint at the end “No More Dream” so the beginning of the video is No More Dream timeline. - Jungkook is lost and running away from huge walls (the shadow world beyond those walls he’s now in Ego world) and he’s tied with vines that have thorns - Then Jin takes the bird to his cage “carried myself to this beautiful prison” so the bird might represent all of them or just Jungkook or Jin. Jin looks shocked that his dead bird in the cage moved so I guess that represents that Jungkook is still alive (maybe he found a way to save all of them with his time travel abilities another thing that made me think he found a way is because he has multiple cages of dead birds. So it’s like he’s been trying for a very long time) - Then Jungkook passes out and J-Hope (ego) starts rapping in a dead world. It went from trees to dead trees and destroyed ground - He doesn’t even bother to LOOK at Jungkook because Ego just doesn’t care so I feel like it’s a huge mental and internal battle being represented here. - There’s a crow or raven that is “eating” Jungkook but it just pecks him then flys away. That bird has made multiple appearances especially with Jungkook. So I think it represents something else. Maybe with jins time travel ability? - And then we cut to yoongi (shadow) who looks like a leader of a cult (love it) the light is only focused on him besides the candles which all create a huge shadow for him and in interlude Shadow he raps “My shadow grows in that blasting stark light” showing that the Shadow world is also in chaos - Then tae finds a girl staring at the walls blindfolded. The blindfold represents that she’s no longer aware of the shadow and ego is taking over (since they’re in Ego world) - Then they sing “choosing to descend into the dark abyss” they’re entering the shadow world. They made their choice and I guess they’re trying to balance everything out - Jungkook goes into the water (singing his beautiful solo) to be rid of his binding and get the shell. I guess that represents that he found a way to overcome his own personal Shadow and Ego. - And then he blows the horn narnia and spongebob style to call the boys to war. Or a desperate call to bring them back together. - After the horn the walls open maze runner style and the girls eyes no longer have the blindfold.(because tae took it off since he’s always aware like in the Save Me comic. He can’t time travel like Jin but he remembers all the different timelines like Jin) plus this girl look like the drawing girl from Make it Right. - So she’s again aware of the shadow. Along with the others. - But once the doors open everything grows again because the balance is being restored but now since they learned to overcome their ego they now have to fight their shadow hence the awesome chainmail dance break - And when Jin lets go of the bird and he’s alive the bird flies off to a group of birds. Seven doves are seen flying over “pride rock” and Jungkook sees them and smiles. So yeah the birds definitely represent the boys. - But now they have to prepare for another battle. Rm raises his hand like he’s leading a charge. Because now they have to fight their Shadow. And I guess all the people behind them represent ARMY’s - Jungkook looks so happy. And does his “Euphoria” run. So the ending of the video is now “Dream”. That’s just my theory...

awkwardz i think you are wrong is not about fighting the shadow and ego or any archetype , is about accepting them, they even say that on their interview. They are accepting every part of them so with that they can reach the SELF according to Carl jun and in Demian is called abrataxas , the book said something like the bird fly to abrataxas, aka know every part of u to really find yourself and love yourself. So with this is the end of the map they wanted to show us since they reached heaven ( like they said in we are bulletproof the eternal) aka abrataxas , self , etc

MY THEORY The bird with Jin represents Jk. First he thought that Jk was dead but then the cage started shaking which made Jin realise he still had life in him. He takes care of the cage and then when he frees the bird Jk suddenly appears with them At 5:32 we can see seven birds which proves the theory more. Jk then sees that he can finally fly (lead as we then see him in the center which means he is the leader) when he looks at the sky at the bird without any injury flying and starts running towards the cliff

I'm gonna explain this in the order of the video: It's everything about the bible. I mean. 1.Jin is the Holy Spirit (the dove of peace) 2.JK is Jesus, he's running bc he's lost (in his life i mean, bc he doesn't have the connection with God in that moment). He is tied with the crown of thorns, that means he is not free yet because he does not know God yet. 3.Jimin is the poor drummer who played his drum for Jesus at his birth, since he had nothing else to offer (JK open his eyes "for the first time" ) 4.Tae is King David. He brought Judaism to his people. Also, he speaks in the psalm "the girl of his eyes". This psalm represents Gid's protection in battle, as fast as the reflection of the eyes (reference to the blindfold the girl is wearing. Also, God's disciples are called pupils, like the pupils of the eyes). Tae removes the blindfold so that the light of God passes through his pupil. 5.RM is Noé (and Moses at the end). Two enlightened by God to repopulate the Earth and free the people. 6 Jin loses hope in peace, as God lost faith in humanity (he covers the dead dove), but that faith revives (the cage moves). 7Jk: We have here 2 timelines. 1. He's still lost in his life. 2. He dies (that's when JHope appears on the place where Jesus was crucified. I think that JHope is Barrabás, the one who was forgiven by the people instead of Jesus. 8.Suga represents the apostles who brought the word of God to the people after the death of Jesus. 9 Tae removes the blindfold. 10. JK: he is walking on the meadow on the way to the river (reference to the psalm 23). when he gets into the river, it represents two things (yeah, two timelines): 1.he finds himself after being baptized in the river. After that, it is enlightened by God (reference to Tae's girl) and the crown of thorns disappear. Jin releases the dove of peace (at the baptism of Jesus, the dove flew when Jesus came out of the water and found God.) 2. The resurrection. 11.And then, JK takes a conch out of the water and blows it like a war call. This is linked to the next scene, the dance. This scene is a representation of the struggle of Moses to free his people (One of the plagues of God appears, the rain of fire) 12 At the end, the people are liberated and are led by Moses (RM) to the paradise that God promises. Also, we have the mount of destiny, where Moses received the commandments of God. And JK runs to the top of the hill where his father is.

RM seems to be referencing Noah's Ark showing hope , Jin is the symbol of strength of the perseverance to carry on, Suga is in a temple referencing one of of the last bastions of humanity faith, V with the girl represents the binding of innocence, Jungkook shows the power that pain brings with pain it brings a new hope with darkness there is light he is patience personified, J-hope shows us the power to overcome loneliness, Jimin, the ravages of the earth(ourselves) loss and confusion can and will be healed by accepting ourselves The conch shell is the key to which we call and free ourselves from the shackle as jk is holding it teaches us that we hold the key to our own hapiness and in the end BTS shows us overcoming the wall to our hearts and walking towards the light and acceptance to walk towards our dream and achieve them as they have.

Normally, when kpop MV's are released,I already know how it will appear and look like.It's always the same as like for dark concept, there will be dancing parts in different places and then a focus on each other's faces. Why is nobody talking about the sensitive issues talked about in this mv that is so meaningful First we see Jungkook and hobi escaping from something like a prison indicating fight for freedom from slavery Jimin is standing with a person who has differences in the way he looks.. Pointing out we should never look down on physical differences RM and Jin are seen protecting the rights of animals... Jin tryin to protect the hurt pigeon and finally letting the fragile creature free.. Like he also protected the rose in the mv of fake love Suga is seen to uphold his rights as a human being standing against all the wrong and living his life the way he wants to just like what he wanted to show us in the SHADOW mv Lastly V is seen with a a girl child,with her eyes covered, indicating the oppression on females and finally she is set free Ok I know there must be mistakes but this is what I have analysed so far

Just how I see it- Their career has kinda been a battlefield with struggles, hardships for 7 years. Each is facing them. Suga is trying to escape an oppressive environment. Tae is helping comforting guiding Army. Namjoon is the leader of all things but feel perhaps stuck or stranded. Jungkook Is running from his pain and struggles. To me it’s Jimin the magic shop owner who brings the bird back to life. Jin is surprised at the cage moving. Jin has tried over and over to save them all from their struggles he is their big brother - but now he has help. When JK goes unconscious JHope appears in his subconscious surrounded by ghosts shadows saying to push on-the optimist. When he wakes he is no longer running he excepts his shadows struggles as a part of him and in the water he’s unbound by them.The conch is blown to bring people together with courage determination & positivity. The dance break shows their shadows and them facing them and destroying their power over them. The parting wall is them breaking through barriers. At the end they are literally climbing a mountain as they have been. Nam Joon leading them.The doves fly over -7 of them. They are a symbol of peace and hope. Jk smiles knowing they will be OK so he starts running to the others to their future that is as high as the clouds. Believe in the dream.

Theory: jungoo represents the pigeon which jin found,the thorns in jungoos hands represent the cage the pigeon is in..
