The song is also known as Crow-tit/Try Hard or Silver Spoon, it's about them being the little birds (the underdogs) amongst the different social classes (Silver Spoon being the upper classes) that need to work harder hence the bird like choreography. Their songs have a lot meaning and really tackle social and political issues.

so in the lyrics when it says "they call me baepsae", does that mean they are being called upper class (and if so how is that bad)? Or lower class? This still confuses me

Baepsae is a Crow-tit, (the translations are a little hazy) it's like a metaphor for those without privileges (the lower class and the current generation who have to work harder in the present generation). To the extent that they have to compete and try hard against those privileged (the "Silver spoons," upper classes). So, "They call me baepsae" is them referring to them being the lower class. :) Throughout the song, BTS challenge this and talk about how others shouldn't put social labels on them, and talk about the differences between the social classes of the lower and upper classes. It's a brilliant song. I hope this helped. :)

From my understanding, baepsae is a common reference to a Korean idiom about a crow tit that tries to imitate a stork (which has much longer legs) and ends up breaking its legs. It’s a lesson on trying to be something that you’re not.

the word "baepsae" comes from the korean word for "crowtit" which is a type of bird thats really smol and fluffy. there's a korean saying that's like "if a crowtit tries to walk like a stork, it will ruin itself" which means like don't imitate people who are better than you. so the word baepsae is kinda synonymous with like underdog sorta? thats why the choreo has them doing the thing with their legs and flapping their arms.

Everybody I found out that jonghyun has passed away today due to suicide. And honestly I'm broken. I mean I cried all day without stopping because of him I got into kpop and he was the first person whom I fell in love with. I loved him as a fangirl and when I first watched lucifer I literally hunted him down because he snatched my heart. And I kept watching him and I'm in UK and poor but his angekic voice reached me. He never showed any signs of mental health and now o feel worse on how no one say any signs either. I can't stop crying and now I'm utterly depressed. Please brisxlife do a video on him. He was an amazing human being and all my friends are trying to comfort me. I can't look back on his moments but I do want people to know who he was and how great he was. Kim jonghyun you will be missed. I hope one day I will get a tattoo of this day and how I overcome the sadness. Not to mention he was a supporter of the lgbtq.😢😢😭😭
