Check out his live performances when you can. He's actually better live than in studio! P.S. I think what we see and hear here is Chris making this about the song and it's significance...not about himself.

@Big Beardy Show There's a lot. He has 3 Grammy winning albums. He's been in Nashville since early 2000's; was a successful songwriter and was kind of "under the radar" as a member of a Bluegrass and a Rock band. His breakthrough as a solo artist came in 2015 with his album, "Traveler". Some of his highly regarded live performances: 2015 CMA (Country Music Awards) performance with Justin Timberlake, "Tennessee Whiskey/Drink You Away"; Austin City Limits performance of "Tennessee Whiskey"; 2021 CMA performance of "Cold" (2022 Grammy winner, Best Country Song); 2023 Grammy collaboration with Stevie Wonder on "Higher Ground"; Austin City Limits, "I Was Wrong", Bing Lounge performance of "Cry". He does some interesting collaborations. Two current ones that are audio only are an R&B number, "Sweet Symphony" with Joy Oladokun and "Say You're Sorry" with Pink on her new album. Incidentally, I believe "Tennessee Whiskey" (arguably his best known song) has recently been certified Diamond by RIAA. (Someone correct me if it's still at one of the multi-platinum levels.) These are my first thoughts. I'm sure others will have many suggestions.

Chris Stapleton has won eight Grammys for a reason. He’s written over 1000 songs, mostly sung by other artists. He writes And sings 99% of his own material and I have not heard a bad song yet. On the contrary, amazing amazing amazing! The guy who was crying was Nick Sirianni, The head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles. As an American, who not only lives in Pennsylvania, but 40 minutes from Philadelphia and a die-hard Eagles fan, when I watched this live, I was sobbing myself. This was one of the most intimate versions of our national anthem that I've ever heard in my entire life. Also if you want to see something patriotic, watch the world series for baseball. Usually in November. I pray our Philadelphia Phillies will make it this year! Thank you so much for the respect and love that you give us. Chris isn't a country singer really. I guess people say that because of his look? The guy was crying mainly because he is a coach whose team made it to the Super Bowl. But I would have cried if I was there! So powerful. Also, we didn't used to plaster the flag on anything. Maybe I'm confused, but I feel like it used to be disrespectful to wear the flag. After September 11, that is when it really started to boom, and for good reason. We had to show the world we were a united front. And now with the way things are and the hate people are showing America, it only continues to grow. Just because the entire world knows our history, they can throw stones but let's look at you. Every country must have something dark in their past. Most of us are not the Karen's you see in videos. Most of that stuff is people trying to go viral. I would say the most patriotic day is Veteren's Day. And the 4th of July. Good look with your channel!

Mistake.... No one should interrupt when any anthem is being played....it's disrespectful. You should have let it run through uninterrupted, then gone back and run it again to add your comments. Stopping this amazing performance to say he can sing is something that could have waited, and should have waited. I don't think you'd find many Americans interrupting someone singing God Save the King b/c they have to immediately comment on the performer's voice.

When it comes to are national anthem I don't think many English would be to upset if someone paused it. It's more about the occasion its sang at rather than the anthem it's self. I laughed out loud re: your English vs American interruptions difference. Sadly, these days the National Anthem at the Super Bowl brings everyone together as one. After the game is over everyone goes back to the horribly divided country we are. I hate the division. You English are so much more polite…about everything.
