@@Lucas6l5 oh, for sure. west coast paved the way for what rap became. I love all regions - I’m not a region hater. I’m not a “new shit” hater either. I have to turn down the Youngboy in the school pickup line REGULARLY.… But, that early nineties west coast sound was sooooo distinctive... They made so much music in such a short period of time. Like, it blows my mind to think about how much music Pac made by 24 (same about Biggie obviously). Eazy E as well. May they all rest in peace.

This was released in 1992 . The background music is actually sampled from an old R an B artist Leon Heywoods song called "I wanna do something freaky to you" from 1972 . Alot of Dr Dres The Chronic album has sampled songs from the 1970s especially funk legend George Clinton . Heres a weird fact Snoop Dog went to Long Beach High School with actress Cameron Diaz They were in the same class
@ajruther67

There is no school actually called Long Beach High. There is Polytechnic Poly High, Wilson High, Milikan High, Lakewood High (LB Unified School District.) Snoop attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School. Lita Ford also went there. So did Nate Dogg.

Long story short man gangster rap almost ruined music for America. Because of that it made every single wannabe poser get a gun get fake gold teeth and try to rhyme a few words together that didn't quite work out. Now every single song is about how much money they have how many women they sleep with how many cars they have how big their house is. It's a load of BS. They act like they're all rich and famous but they're not. I would rather be wealthy the difference between rich and wealthy is LeBron James is rich the man who signs his paycheck is wealthy. Snoop Dogg and dr. Dre new that's that's why they stopped making music and became extremely wealthy entrepreneurs.

@@kabirconsiders Hence the acute homeless problem in the LA area, Nothing is affordable anymore. The land in and around LA has become so valuable and it is all being snapped up by developers and investors and squeezing out low and middle income folks. The Los Angeles Rams just built the worlds most expensive sports stadium in LA at a cost of $5 billion dollars. Btw imagine what a 5 billion medical facility or public housing complex would look like?? I'm part owner of some property in LA that was purchased nearly 30 years ago. When I retire I plan to sell it to fund a large portion of my retirement. We bought it for 95K in 1993, today it is appraised at $750K minimum. In 5 years it should top a million. (Which sound like a lot but I'll be splitting it 50/50 with my sister, plus taxes in California are outrageous.) Investment in real estate has made my sister and husband millions. They own a lot of small apartment buildings and houses all over LA. and property values have exploded over the past 20 years. Its bonkers all over the west coast!!

I don't remember how much it is to rent a house (of course depending on how many bedrooms, etc. But buying a house, my dinky old house could sell for $400,00 and that's on the low end.
