My brother once had to make an emergency propane delivery in Bush Sr's neighborhood. Secret service stopped him a mile away. Check ID, where you going, start walking around the truck using a mirror to look underneath. Bro asks if they're looking for a bomb. "Nope. You're driving the bomb. I'm looking for a fuse." Another time he was called to the Bush residence to fix their pool heater. When he pulled up, Bush Sr jumps in the passenger seat and points out where the pool is. Secret service guys are running toward the van. Bro says "shouldn't we wait for them?" Bush grins and says "nah! They'll catch up." I guess it was pretty typical of him to try to slip away from them as a joke.

We were in TX and my sister in law was going to drive by the Bush ranch. We were going down a small road and did see a black suv go by, then noticed a nice barn with TX flag painted on the roof. I wanted a photo of it (from the car - wasn’t getting out there!) As I tried to take the picture a guy on a bicycle was going by and seemed to be in the way of my shot no matter what angle I tried. Finally he passed giving us a wave. I said, “thank goodness he’s out of the way”! I was finally able to take some pictures. My sister in law turned and said, “that was Bush on the bicycle”! Well, I did a good job avoiding bicycle guy - not one photo of the former President!!!!

The reason that families and former presidents are protected is to avoid kidnapping and former presidents have secret knowledge that our enemies want access to. We are lucky to have talented men and women who are willing to be agents.

The P90 uses 5.7x28 ammunition. It's a very small, but very fast moving round. The light weight means it slows down quickly to avoid overpenetrating, but it's also armor piercing.

My dad was part of the local detachment protecting the vice president when they came to the area back in the 80s. Not only does the secret service have snipers so do local agencies. The locals will be part of the outer perimeter - the onion that was described before. It's a rough job. Hollow point ammunition is standard for police and federal agencies to use. It's designed to expand in the body to dump the energy into the target as well as to stop it from over penetrating. When they talked about being fired at they were probably talking about simunitions - real guns that fire ammunition that has a paint pellet in it. Think of paintballing but with real weapons that are firing paint pellets. In the military it was standard to rotate troops into the target pits during qualification - part of the reason for that was to get used to the sound of guns being fired at you as well as the crack of the bullets going overhead.

I worked as a server with a catering company that did a campaign dinner for Bush Jr…one of those $1000 per plate things. We had the secret service in the kitchen with us at all times literally counting the forks. It was a rather unorthodox dinner service, but the agents themselves were actually quite a bit of fun even though they were extremely serious and professional about their jobs. I remember my wife wanting to take one of them home…he was a spitting image of Henry Cavill.

I wish I could send you my own story about the Men in Black coming to my house, a quick rundown, my two year old was playing on the phone no cell phones in those days, he thought he was calling his Granny, he called President Reagan’s private number instead and actually talked with him, the MIB were at my house within minutes and angrily asked me if I knew how hard it was to get a private number? I was thinking, surely the phone company can handle this, and you think a two year old can remember a bunch of numbers he pushed at random and plans to divulge state secrets. He was a baby. This really did happen in the very cold days of early 1982. Apparently it didn’t keep him from getting secret clearance in the military but he loved Ronald Reagan afterwards.

Michael Fagan broke into Queen Elizabeth II's bedroom at Buckingham Palace in 1982, creating one of the biggest security breaches in the palace's history. Fagan, an unemployed house painter, scaled the palace gates, climbed up a drainpipe, and entered through a window. Fagan found the Queen sleeping in her room and exchanged a few words with her before security arrived. The Queen used a bedside table phone to call security, but when no one came, she got out of bed and ran out of the room. The Queen's footman, Paul Wybrew, offered Fagan a drink, and he became more affable. Authorities arrested Fagan shortly after. Fagan was acquitted of trespassing in July 1982. He was also found not guilty of burglary for the first break-in, when he stole a bottle of Australian wine from Room 108.

It also wasn't a riot. It was police officers removing barricades and waving people in. There was one person trying to incite some violence and a lot of people told him no and to stop. Some people went overboard and stole things - which is 100% not ok. The only person shot was shot in the back, while leaving I believe. I could have that detail wrong. They refuse to release any footage from that day for some strange reason. However, loads of people watched everything happen in real time on social media. I know I did. Most of what happened was sanctioned by uniformed officers of the law. We've become a banana republic.

10:10 Tim McCarthy is fine. He did not have a vest on. He was put on duty last second and lost a coin toss with a co-agent. He was shot in the chest and was hit in the lung and liver. What is very wrong about this video is that Jim Brady, Reagan's Press Secretary, was hit in the head and was paralyzed. The Brady Bill is named for him since a background check would have prevented Hinckley from getting a gun. Brady died 33 years later and was ruled a homicide. Hinckley was ruled insane (it is a whole Jodie Foster thing) and spent up until a couple years ago in hospital. He is now completely free.

They did not even break in exact some who broke a window, one of whom, a woman wad shot and killed. The rest just walked in. There are pictures of some of them being shown around by the guards. Some acted badly, most did not. The bullets are not "custom". Bullets come as full metal jacket, meaning it does not expand when it enters a body thus losing velocity so it can still pass completely through the body and hit someone else. The other type does not have the tip completely covered, so it expands on entry, doing more damage to the target but looses so much velocity it can not go on to hurt others

that's not how ballistics work. you're thinking of rounds that tumble, like the 5.56 round. a 22 caliber bullet should not tumble. that is a defect in either the projectile or the barrel of the wapon. the smaller a round is (22, 380, 9 mm, 5.7 like the p90 uses that they were showing in the video) the less energy is required to propel it. meaning they're very fast. and being smaller they have more of their mass concentrated in a smaller area. so they penetrate easily. over-penetration is a big concern. small round moving very fast punches a hole easily and keeps going. hollow points (the "special ammunition" that was mentioned in the video) deforms on impact to slow the projectile down after entering the body. causing more internal trauma and also greatly reducing the risk of over-penetration.

Back in the 1960s, President Johnson (aka LBJ) would fly in to his lake house from Austin, TX on the weekends and there would be about 4 military helicopters accompanying him. He'd immediately jump in his boat and would stop to chat with random people. It drove his Secret Service mad. He even used our neighbor's toilet on the spur of the moment. The SS guys had several boat houses but he didn't like them all over him so they had to stay their distance. Past presidents weren't as protected as they are now. After his presidency, we were visiting at the ranch and I went out to see him while he was working on the irrigation system (for cattle feed crops) and talked to him a bit with him all grungy, shirt unbuttoned and saw his belly button. Guessing his SS were some of the guys in work clothes acting like farm hands. No, I do not believe he had anything to do with Kennedy's assassination. Gov. Connally, who was hit with "the magic bullet", had a lake house directly across from LBJ's. There is no way Mrs. Connally, who was also in that car, would have allowed him in her house or at her table or around her children and grandchildren if she ever believed he was behind it, imo.

Check out presidential transportation and motorcades. There are videos exploring the number of aircraft that accompany the President during travel (Air Force One, Backup Air Force One, a Doomsday Military Command Plane, Marine 1 and at least three duplicates, 2 massive cargo planes carrying the set of the specialized vehicles used for the trip pulled from the collection that's maintained and almost always a small white, unmarked private jet). Both of the aircraft notoriously, though not technically accurately, known as Air Force One travel with the President with one acting as a decoy and landing at a different airport and then acting as a backup and the other landing with the President at the intended arrival site. Presidential helicopter travel always includes a minimum of two duplicate helicopters even abroad that shift and move around during flight to make it harder to determine which one has the President aboard and to be able to have a helicopter land due to some kind of problem and have one of the duplicates pick the President up and continue or escape. For emergency evacuation the primary Air Force One remains fueled and ready at the airport, the military command aircraft is generally located either at the primary Air Force one location or at a nearby foreign military base, the backup Air Force One will be in the same readiness at a nearby airport and a short distance away from both of those places the small white aircraft will be located and ready in the same status, but much, much discreetly in case the first or second Air Force Ones and military command aircraft are somehow render inaccessible or inoperable and able to whisk the President and a small number of people with him out of harm's way. It's also been used in the past for extremely discreet flights, for example President Clinton is known to have used the white unmarked private jet to make at least two very discreet visits to Pakistan during his time in office.

That's a fact about them protecting the president while they're doing an intern or whomever 😂. Dan Bongino mentioned them protecting even staff during the Obama administration

President Bush made unannouced visit to sr ctr. It was strange to see police officers at ea street corner on my route to work. The president agents visited Target where i work. I ask bout their "funeral" suits & they told me the president is meeting w the seniors at the sr ctr a block away. Presidents always makes unannounced visits to avoid hugh crowds

Yes, former presidents of the US and their spouses all receive lifetime Secret Service protection. Their children under age sixteen also receive SS protection. A past president can decline SS protection, but a current president is required to have it. Also, a president, past or current, is not allowed to drive on public roads. They are not allowed to receive packages on their own, and they cannot purchase their own electronic devices.

"broke into" is misleading, given the capital police are on video removing the barriers for the crowd.

The insurrection (or riot as some may say) was at the Capitol building, not the White House. The Capitol (with an O) is different from capital btw.
