People suffering from these problems are very difficult to deal with. Did law enforcement for over 30 years, the behaviour and effects of different drugs have just gotten worse over time. When I started, it was booze and heroin, those affected would pretty quickly run out of steam and become sleepy. Meth is a nightmare though. They are so hyper, you can break an arm and they won't even realise it, just keep on being aggressive. Had to arrest an offender one time and take him to hospital because he had engaged in a streetfight and assaulted people, he actually broke his hand and had bones sticking out through his skin, yet he wouldn't stop wanting to throw punches. 'Durries' is a slang term for cigarettes, BTW.

Yes, heroin users become quiet but ice/meth users become more aggressive, it's really frightening! Fentanyl is just a last resort, slow, quiet death and too readily available in US Zombielands!

I had meth users a couple of houses down from me. People thought I was crazy because I said I'd prefer them to be heroin addicts. Most junkies just want to steal from you a meth addict can kill you to steal from you.

@@elizabethpilarski1076 Yes you are crazy!! A heroin addict usually goes into their quiet space, they are not interested in killing or raping you, the opposite of a meth addict where any frantic selfish violence is assured!

My daughter in Australia was a heavy drug user she shoplifted whole shopping trollies constantly, and sold them for drugs, not once did she or or her boyfriend accomplice get charged or jailed, I wish they had been jailed, they are both dead for a year now..

I had to go to a Pain Clinic at a large hospital for exercises, etc! I got a shock when I found out everyone else there was addicted to one or two drugs and knew dealers! I never ever use drugs, these users are weak and selfish people, with no self discipline or any body awareness nor any sense of responsibility!
@chezzachezza73256 ай бұрын
Agree I was forced to go to pain management just to get medication. What a joke. Imagine taking drugs for fun. I have been through 10 bowel resections for crohns disease, yet if you're just an addict you can go through shit for 2 weeks and move on with your life . But the real sufferers get put through hell 😢

Basically, if you steal under $ 1,000 worth of stuff youll only result in fines. Its stupid, we have plenty of staff in woolworths and coles supermarkets getting bashed for even a sideways look at a customer thinking theyre stealing that trolley full of food. Theres footage of one guy taking a running flying martial arts kick at a staff member. Theyll get a 4wd car and demolish the front of a shop for $250 cash in the safe, but doing like $ 100,000 damage. They do not care. Alcohol and Ice are the worst. Neither have regret or a conscience, just need to get the high.

They won't go to prison, thats the worst outcome . Theyll get taken to the mental health ward at the hospital. They will have to stay there until doctors believe they are ok to leave. That could be weeks or months. They are are in the stages of psychosis and hallucinations when the behaviour gets to this.

In Australia there is no affordable help for people suffering with addiction issues with substances like meth. On top of that, there is very little sustainable help for people with mental health issues and homelessness. People in meth addiction become very apathetic to others and very needy and selfish as well as phases of mania and aggression, psychosis, depression and not being able to function due to loss of dopamine in the brain. If the government in Australia realised how much meth addiction creates overcrowding in our hospitals and crime rates high, they would realise how desperately we need compassion and a place for these people to manage their addictions and mental health and have ongoing support to get clean.

Don’t feel sorry for them. We all get paid the same amount on welfare payments. If they choose to be losers that’s their own fault. Nobody is making them live the way they do.
