I was born in London, but have lived in Australia for most of my life. I have travelled the world and I have 3 passports: UK, AU, EU. I am so glad my parents migrated to Australia. AU's little brother, NZ, is a truly beautiful place as well.

Melbourne is a City of exhaust fumes... if a substance was sprayed in the air that could turn unseen exhaust fumes fluro pink, then everything you would see would be fluro pink... if i was sitting in a restaurant the whole space would be filled with fluro pink, all that you would see inside peoples homes would be fluro pink. Being that i live in rural Victoria whenever i go to Melbourne i get a chemical type taste in my mouth, my eyes develop a slight stinging sensation, and i get a mild headache until i leave smogville and head home to clean air (what our bodies thrive on). Melbourne has nothing going for it... it is home to mass humanity, mass vehicles, mass exhaust fumes, mass factories, mass smog and mass sickness "ENJOY"

Kabir, then there is Randy (The Big Unit) Johnson, all 6'10" of him; throwing 98 mph with almost a sidearm motion. If you were a left-handed batter, he was releasing the ball behind your head. Now you have milliseconds to figure out of it's a strike or something that can kill you.

Bunnings is the equivalent to B&Q in the UK. Birds like magpies etc can attack you during the nesting season. A kid at my school got quite a big head wound with gushing blood from an attack in the school yard. When I walk the dog during that time, I make sure I wear sunglasses & hat. Had one chase me down the street once…as I ran it kept coming in for the swoop. I was waving my hands like a mad person 😆 no it’s Sunny’s & hat.

Jeez, one more time Holland are the 2 provinces in the west of the Netherlands. The chase started not in Holland , so you talked rubbish. Yes I know we Dutch are direct, but for many the best way to learn something.

Enjoye this as this Aussie lived in and went to high school in New Zealand for 2 years in the 70s. Very friendly place. Fun to see the culture in the ads. NZ already had colour TV back in the early 70s

You should react to more of the TAC ads they had back in the 80s and 90s. They were dark, yes, but they were honest and they didn't sugar-coat what happens when you drink drive, speed, drive while fatigued, or drive on drugs.

Negative gearing will never be phased out. Everyone must vote in elections, it's compulsory. So there are not enough young people to vote for a policy to revamp it when you take into account partisan voting patterns.

No it's a lot stronger than marmite. We can get that too. Marmite is a lot more runny. Butter your toast well, then scrape on a Very little thin layer. Too much is too darn awful to start with. You can add more when you are used to it. If you have aussie friends get them to send a macca's blister pack, so you don't end up with a lot if you hate it.

My daughter lived at home with parent to save a deposit for a home. A lot of young people leave home too early, have to pay rent then can't afford to save. They also are taking up family homes while renting, making it harder for families looking to rent. It doesn't take long to get a deposit together living at home.

Old word for slang .. is lingo .. this lovely girl doesn't know Aussie old lingo.. like Warwick Farm.. is your arm.. jack & jill .. the hill .. frog & toad.. the road... rubbidy dub... the pup...where ya at..Ballarat...where're ya been..Narrabeen.. where ya goin ... Parramatta... but that doesn't matta..goin for a smoko..a break. When I speak fast Aussie slang.. the only ones that understand what I'm saying are born & bred Aussies. Many people from other countries find our humour rude... ha..I'm not having you on... I find them arrogant ignorant & fucking boring.... full of themselves cause they believe they're better than us & wherever they've come from, their country is better than Australia...darr.. obvious question ... then why the fuck did you come HERE for .. please explain 😂

I've got a few playlists on my channel that have classic Aussie tv commercials. From a series of Beer ads, Gambling ads, funny ones I've found over the years, and the Road safety ones called TAC (Traffic Accident Commission), they can be brutal here.

When I was young children stayed home living with the family unit until they married but now we have them leaving home as teenagers and moving into shared homes etc. That has taken up a lot of family homes. Of the 8 homes in my cul de sac, 3 have single people living in them. Combine that with foreign investors and immigration and that's why we are short of housing. Interest rates were 18% in the 80s when I purchased my home. It was years of going without basic needs but paid off in the long run.

Hi Kabir, I'm actually the first to comment! There's something really disconcerting about being attacked by a bird, even a small one. I remember the first time it happened to me when I was 7 years old. It was a mockingbird. They are really territorial, especially when they have a nest with babies in it. I didn't know that there was even a nest nearby, but suddenly this bird came after me, flapping it's wings in my face and pecking at my head. It chased me all the way back to the house! I had always thought of birds as shy, gentle creatures, but that mockingbird changed my mind.

It's a parody. But a battered saveloy is a sausage in batter (flour, milk). And of course those gymnastics landings would batter (smack into) the gymnast's "sausage". So it's a silly and amusing double entendre. By making up the terminology, it sounds authentic but it is satire.

In Australia there is no affordable help for people suffering with addiction issues with substances like meth. On top of that, there is very little sustainable help for people with mental health issues and homelessness. People in meth addiction become very apathetic to others and very needy and selfish as well as phases of mania and aggression, psychosis, depression and not being able to function due to loss of dopamine in the brain. If the government in Australia realised how much meth addiction creates overcrowding in our hospitals and crime rates high, they would realise how desperately we need compassion and a place for these people to manage their addictions and mental health and have ongoing support to get clean.
