If anything, we're most vulnerable on the Cyber Warfare Front. We've had several recent Data Bank breaches that have really screwed up things. I just received a new Medicare Card with a new number just the other day because there was a Data Breach sometime in 2023 if I recall. But one thing I think this video didn't mention was that we'd probably use our forces stationed at all these foreign bases to strike at all these adversarial nations. That's kinda what they're for when you get right down to it. Yeah sure, they're mostly used for defense deterrents, but they also act as forward operating bases for striking into nearby countries. The tiny atoll od Diego Garcia (which is owned by the British, ironically) in the Indian Ocean, has an airbase that the US used as a refueling base for the B-2 bombers back in the first Gulf War in 1991. So yeah, many isolationist Americans question why we have so many foreign military bases and that's part of the reason why. It's projection of force in a way, as well as refueling and re-armament spots so that we don't have to ship everything from America at the last moment. Many of our bases are just supply depots out in the middle of nowhere just in case a conflict breaks out in those areas have we have to get involved with.

I'm pretty confident cyber isn't the biggest worry. The U.S. built the internet and most of the hardware and 95% of the software that everything runs. The NSA/CIA has omnipotent powers when we start talking true cyber warfare with intention to harm adversaries. I'd argue homegrown domestic terrorism on electrical infrastructure is taken more serious.

As a US citizen, personally, I want the US Military to pull out of the rest of the world entirely, completely and forever and save us roughly 400 Billion per year. (That is 400,000,000,000 when the median household income is around 80,000 a year for perspective.) Imagine the repercussions for your country and others if that happened. Would it be better or worse for your country? If it would be better, would it be better forever or just long enough for your current issues, whatever they may be, to be resolved? I feel bad for the innocent who would and will die at the hands of evil dictators, warlords, religious zealots and corrupt politicians but why should I be required to pay the taxes to fund their security? My own country is probably not far from having to fight our own corrupt politicians at home let alone the rest of the world. If the world wants to use the US military as a global deterrent or police force or something then the rest of world also need to pay the full costs imo. We all know that will never happen so I'm back to my isolationist and mercenary desires. If you are not an evil bastard and need help to keep people alive, pay 100% of the costs to transport, equip, supply, house and maintain them, then I have no problem helping out when possible. In an ideal world everything would be fair and equal for every single person on the globe but that is not what most of the worlds powers and peoples want or desire. What is equal to one is blasphemy to another after all.

@@DarkKatzy013 Are you 12? 13? I take responsibility for myself and have since I was 14 and joined the workforce, over 35 years ago. I will have to work for the remainder of my life as well since our corrupt politicians stole social security money we all contributed and tanked the economy on top of that. My imagination is obviously better than yours as well since I know all to well how many things we are involved in worldwide and yet, I DONT CARE. NOT MY, OR OUR PROBLEM!!!!!!! Honestly if the rest of the world was burning I wouldn't spare the urine. Let them piss on their own fires for a change and let us piss on our own, which are blazing beyond control! When do we get to stop supporting the world militarily? 10 years? 100? 1000? Ever? Doesn't matter the cost? Just a cost of doing business? Well our import tariffs need to account for that cost of doing business then. Someone need to pay for it and I'm sick and tired of that being us, using our tax dollars. Businesses chose to do business internationally based on lots of cost analysis and risk assessments. If they need to rework those factors based on less free military support then that is THEIR cost of doing business, not mine. Seems to me if they did that then they would determine its better to buy and produce local and hey ya know what? That would help our local economies, go figure.... Hell, you could even use that money we would save from standing down international forces to open military hospitals and provide free medical to citizens at them if you're one of those people who want "free" healthcare. Are you saying other countries are not smart enough to take care of themselves? Not capable enough to make progress without us holding their hands? They are less capable than Americans are? Did I once say it would be easy or wouldn't cause severe hardships? Internationally the value of the dollar falls which in turn raises the cost of maintaining such overseas forces more. Our budgets need to be slashed or everyones life will fall apart eventually. Try using moral justifications but the truth is it's 95% about money and power, just not money and power for the people paying for it.

Making individual liberties into federal issues, ect, ect. We fund conflicts. Their stocks rise. We fund rebuilding. Their stocks rise. We pay, they collect. We are literally paying them to rob us. Being in NATO, does nothing but cost people, and make leaders of every country involved, even more rich. Under the guise, that it's a good thing. That helps keep peace. That benefits us none at all.

We'd have a massive military with the latest & greatest in technology and R&D. Yeah, the hackers could do damage in the beginning but we'd win in the end. Of the 345 million Americans, of which 75 million would be mentally and physically equipped to conduct military style expeditionary operations, and 120 million that would be able to dig in and form defensive lines to protect strategic targets. It would take 200 million soldiers to invade and hold US soil. This is 4 times higher than the combined forces of the world. Most of the world's soldiers are not well trained or not trained at all, meaning they would be ineffective against armed civilians. People can't comprehend how powerful America is.
