6:38 That play was amazing because it was a kicker making the tackle. Kickers and Punters typically not considered "real football" players. Their jobs are kicking punting and kicking extra points and field goals. They're always the smallest most unathletic guys on the team, and on the rare occasions when they do have the chance to tackle a return man, they usually fail miserably. So it's extremely rare when a kicker makes a badass tackle on a much stronger faster like this.

Actually the average NFL player has a higher vertical than NBA players. Excluding the 300 lb lineman of course lmao. ( I think it’s because only receivers tight ends safety’s and cornerbacks get there vertical tested meanwhile 7 foot nba players still get tested and usually don’t have a higher vert Bc they only need to jump like 1 foot off the ground to dunk)
@kabirconsiders3 жыл бұрын
That’s really impressive, I wouldn’t have guessed that considering NBA players are leaner
@BigDave423AAAO3 жыл бұрын
Actually NFL linemen do have their vertical checked, and even with them included, the football players have better hops. The NFL players also average more reps on their bench press test, using 225 pounds, even though the NBA players only lift 185 pounds. And when it comes to speed we'll have to use anecdotal 'evidence', since the NBA doesn't have a forty yard sprint to compare to the NFL times. So, as far as I know, no NBA player has competed in a sprinting event at the Olympic level, whereas a number of NFL players have. And oddly enough, many of those Olympians don't get mentioned when people talk about the all time fastest football players.
@DannL183 жыл бұрын
@@BigDave423AAAO well to be fair an NBA court is less than 40 yards long, so in basketball you don’t need to be the fastest sprinter in the league to have an advantage. Most of the best players probably have a quicker first couple of steps than most football players as that’s what give you the separation you need to get space to shoot.
@Cmoss1143 жыл бұрын
Another thing worth mentioning is that NBA players use a running start on the vertical test. NFL players are measured from a stationary leap, which diminishes the height they could reach if allowed a running start
