Britain is by no means the best but you say all this over a partially melted peice of road that gets fixed within the day, because we never see temps like this so the investment into a higher heat resistant road is a waste of money considering they're about 15 years old id say they got their moneys worth as its taken that long for 1, *1* small peice of *a* runway to melt. Are you serious lmao, UK builds its infrastructure for its typical climate as does every country, no one could predict temps of 40c in the UK….if India suddenly had a big freeze, there would be complete chaos too. You can’t even compare Indian infrastructure to British or European in general buddy, India is a developing country after all. Millions of Indians don’t even have access to clean water and endure open sewage, I would worry about that first before comparing yourself to rich countries 😂

India is a vast country where north side even reaching sub-zero temperature and Rajasthan reaching 45 degree C. So our infrastructure is well prepared to handle it, whereas U.K and other countries were ill prepared for it, thus causing melting of their infrastructure, heck they even stopped rails. Maybe they might even give National Holiday to their people owing to temperature rise.

In Britain people lived in duplex homes 100-150 years ago with a back garden, when half of the world was living on streets. So they are quite advanced and they know climate change is real and how it can impact human life. That is why there is a surge in electric cars in UK. Again half of the world is sleeping when it comes to climate change, green house gasses, electric cars etc.

Runway melted. They should have it used better materials. It's common in india to reach 45+ degree celcius for 1-2 months in many cities. But we never hear runway melted. I can understand homes are designed for cold so in moderate heat they become furnace. But Runway is outdoor installation. They should have used a material which can withstand extreme heat or cold aswell.
