The building is built like a conventional house, but designed to rise along guideposts in the event of flooding. Robert Barker, one of the directors of Baca Architects, demonstrates the concept using CGI graphics and a model.

Attach a tether to the house with a brake spool that let's the line out when it reaches a certain threshold so the house never floats too far

there 2 flaws with this idea first is once the water reaches building maximum limit the water either gonna breach inside and make it heavier and the house gonna sink to its default position or the stabilizers break and dift the whole house along with the flood and bonus is economical cause not everyone can afford safety

Does the house move from its own place after the flood?
