The remains of five British servicemen killed by an Afghan police officer in Afghanistan have returned to Britain, along with the body of another soldier killed in an explosion. Britain's rising death toll in Afghanistan is fueling opposition to the war. Jennifer Glasse reports for VOA from the English village of Wootton Bassett, where more than a thousand people gathered to pay their respects.

I live there, and have served 2/3 years in Afghanistan. Like to point out that the Queen has named it Royal Wootton Bassett.

Whether making their last journey home to England, Ulster, Scotland or Wales Royal Wooten Basette treated them all like family and showed what it truly means to be British. Thankyou to RWB for the love they showed to our service men and women and their families. Truly deserving of having the title royal added . ❤️🇬🇧❤️🇬🇧

@@Northman.56 doesn't really matter. At the end of the day these people are willing to die and defend democracy, freedom and the British isles like they did in ww2. Therefore they deserve the respect, not of because what they fought for but because what they are ultimately prepared to do

I was on an airline coming home and had a fallen soldier on our flight. We did not know we had one. The captain of the airline announced about 15 minutes before we landed we had a fallen soldier coming home and for us to remain seated while they took him off the plane. Not one word was spoken by anyone as we approached landing. The airline went towards the hangers where they were to take him. I was seated on that side and saw the honor guards remove the casket. I had tears rolling down my face. The gentleman seated next to me was crying too standing up singing “Amazing Grace.” Soon everyone was sing including the flight attendants. I never knew the name of the soldier, but I felt a need to pray for him and said a prayer for all to hear. Loosing a family member who served is certainly hard. How do I know? I am a sister of a fallen soldier, my brother, who served in Afghanistan.

My thoughts are with the soldiers of those who died to protect us civilians safe. My brother served in Afghanistan and lost 12 fellow service man. They are true heros. They don't wear capes they are our angels. Those of you who write rude and disgusting comments. You are criminals of KZbin. This is a video of respect not a video of hatred.
