Top top for you Mike. Put your urethane, glue or silicone tube upside down with the tip dipping in oil. This will stop the cure as it will not be exposed to air. I kept an open tube of PL glue for over 6 months like that and you can use it right away

I will give it a go - will be a good idea for the Hylosil 100 as it dries pretty quick in the tubes!

Bought a set of those nut extractors many years ago in Sears, so Craftsman, or proper Craftsman should I say! Bloody brilliant, they were new on the market so I wasn't sure if they were good or a gimmick. Really pleased I took a chance. One more tip, don't forget to put ATF in the gearbox!!!!!!

Yes when I watched them fit the glass a while ago they were struggling and I said it it in the top first - I was tempted to do it by the book but now I will fit it in the top - there is a gap now bigger than the glass thickness so should be ok

I got thoroughly peeved when an expensive tube of UPol Tiger Seal was going off in the nozzle after just 3 or 4 days, no matter how I tried to seal it. Plastic film, cling film, over the main exit and over the tapered nozzle. Nothing worked and 3/4 of a tube is heading for the bin unless I can stop it. So freezer it is. I'll look at an oil system as well some time. A tip for superglue is keep that in the fridge. Lasts for years.

I use clear urethane to fix my boots and waders and keep it in the freezer , last tube was literally in there for years and was as good as the day I put it in .

Good tip about putting opened sealer cartridges in the freezer, I must have binned loads of these when the stuff has gone off after one use, now can they be defrosted in the microwave when you want to use them next ?

G"Day Mike. Thanks for the info on the Windscreen, will come in handy later on next year when I redo the screen on mine. Mate I was going to get the "Maximum Impact Bolt And Nut Remover Set" from your shop, but, and you can relate to this, the shipping killed it, cost more to ship than to buy and for the same total money, Item+Shipping (maybe a tad less), I can get it from local tool shop. Sorry matey :( I know its not your doing, its a problem that both you and I run into all the time. The items at a great price, but the shipping is off the chart. The only time I will bite the bullet on expensive shipping is when there is no alternative. Anyway, thanks for the update and take care hey. :)

Same getting things form Australia - I wanted some parts for my Isuzu but it would be cheaper to fly over!

@@BritannicaRestorations I actually found a copy of the Daily Mirror for January 8th 1960 folded up and stuffed in the end of the bulkhead box section under the wing of my Series 2 back in 1978, not long after I got it! Records show it went to dispatch on 7th although it wasn't registered until 11th February, presumably as it had some equipment mounted in the rear first - it was originally sent to the Royal Aircraft Establishment at Farnborough and had heavy duty rear springs, evidence of a power take off with a belt drive through the seating box. It's a shame they don't do page 3 in the Sun any more, that would have helped push it down! Warming it up would be a bit of a risk as it could go too floppy and end up worse.

Lol this black puddings a bit chewy:) is the viscous coupling like a haldex or a torque converter? Is it worth mouse meshing the louvered part?
