My dad drove one of these in the late 70s / early 80s. Some of my earliest memories are of that wagon. Great to see one restored to mint condition. Nice work chaps.

When I started an apprenticeship in 1965 we brush painted these, I remember there would be 3 of us spaced out down the chassis! Brought back some memories looking at these great pics.

My guvner had a TK recovery truck..He used to let me drive (I was only 17) on the old A13 most Friday nights, there was always a crash,boys racing down London to Southend. I loved it and learnt loads..it was good times then..Also went out in a AEC Matador, with Fred from Danalles(?) Roundabout..doing commercial.

Those flaps for engine access came in very handy when you couldn't find bushes to hide behind :) "Oh sh*t looks like we have a water leak,Again"

Beautiful restoration, really like the hub caps and colour.. the original number plates was a nice touch too....

Nice job.... my uncle was a great fan of all bedford series he had four bedford trucks a tm. Tk Km Tl.. he would love this video.. he passed away in 2016

Ya indeed his two truck the TK and MJ is still in his yard since 2years.... getting rusty on it... ya that was a big loss that wont b able to recover

Absolutely lovely job on the old TK..better than new. Wanting to get a Volvo F86/F7 when the time comes and get it restored like this..I'll be looking you up when the time comes.

Looks great, but the body is far to low to the rear wheels, put so much as a bag of spuds on the back and the rear wheels would be rubbing through the mudguards!

So you just totally spray over the engine?? Isn't that a bad idea? Is it not better to take it all apart and rebuild it?

Love the truck but don't agree with the wheel covers. They would be off if it was my truck. Why do truck operators think they need these embellishments? The chrome nut guards would be plenty or just painted rims.

nice restoration to be picky the engine should be painted blue 381 cu inch
