How to Share a Printer on a Home Network ? Most house's have loads of devices in there homes and most only have one printer, in this video I will show you how you can share that printer on the local network to all devices in that home. Thanks my man. Just got a new computer after having my old one for about 9 years and after having printer issues today, I realized that I forgot all about sharing the printer ... and how to even go about setting it up. Ha. Loved your concise yet easy to understand approach. Side note - I guess the wife didn't want to tell me she was also having printer issues because as soon as I finished setting her laptop up, the printer spits out two pages that were, I assume, in her printer queue. Your timing is excellent. I am currently in the process of purchasing additional PC components for another build, and plan to begin a home network setup after my oldest daughter moves out in a few months. Her room becomes my hobby/gaming/streaming room and I want to move all of the network equipment into there to "clean-up" the living room. Excellent information and explanation of this process. These instructions came as a breath of fresh air - informative and easy to follow. I was fine up as far as 9:34, when W10 on the laptop declared that the laptop does not have permission to access the PC (to which the printer is connected) despite listing it as one of the PC options! What am I missing here please?

Thanks Brian, still very useful 2 years on. I'd struggled getting my printer to print from my second PC and it all came down to a single incorrect setting. Working great now. Thanks Now if you can just tell me why my PC doesn't connect to the internet via my ethernet switch when it does work when the ethernet cable is plugged directly into my PC I'll be a happy man.

"Right click on the start button and go to settings." But that's not what you did. You went to system and then you went to settings. Once I figured that out I was with you at 0:28 but then another screen pops up a 0:30 and I have no idea how you got there. I can usually follow instructions but I need exact instructions. I guess everyone else got there so it doesn't matter. I'm in a minority.
