I do love a poncho... I used to have one, the rubberised canvas is a heavy cloth.

US WW2 poncho also doesnt have hood.

Can't help but wonder what the thought process was behind making something to be used as shelter with a big hole in the middle that isn't covered by anything.

@@shurdi3 I f I had a Dollar for every Day that I spent under a Poncho while hunting I would be able to pay for many Ponchos . Trust me you adapt hole or no hole . You always have leaks or water running the wrong way . It is usually quickly put up while it is pouring when you never have enough line with you . Every time I had to deploy the hasty Poncho Shelter it has allowed me to survive the Day enjoying the Woods instead of going back to the Truck . It is a good question !
