Ive recently worked at Stanley Eckert's sisters home in West London and have seen the letter he wrote to his parents . His sisters home is a shrine to the two brothers she lost . She was very young but still remembers them well .. Total respect

I went there many years ago. Since then I have learned a lot about the men buried there, so thank you for giving me even more information.

My great uncle is buried here, William Patrick Piper. He was killed along with other soldiers when the glider he was travelling in hit some trees at the edge of a wood. Apparently for several decades after the trees still showed the scars of the incident. Myself and some other family members have visited his grave and we also attended a service for him and some paras (I think) that were executed.
