All the WWII veterans are in their 90’s and every day 650 WWII veterans die. We have a responsibility to document their experiences so that such a devastating war will never happen again and so that those brave men did not die in vain.
Founded in 2016, Heroes of the Second World War is a nonprofit 501©(3) organization. (EIN/tax ID number: 81-3064351). 100% of Heroes of the Second World War’s expended resources are devoted entirely to interviewing interview with the majority of money going to travel costs.

I have also been honoured to meet and talk with Fred on many occasions, both in Normandy and Holland - he truly is a wonderful man, not to say a hero of the first order. God bless you Fred!

Thank you Fred. If there is any way of Fred seeing this, would very much like to know if he knew my Grandad, who was in the Buffs then in 6th Airborne 6th Airlanding and went over in a glider but didn't parachute.

Sounds like Mr Glover took part in the assault on the Merville battery, which was led by Lt Col Terrence Otway.

I met Mr Glover twice at the Battery, yes he was there and wounded, he was taken prisoner but escaped, i believe he was just 19 years old, unbelievable.
