Train your Modern RP British Accent, speaking and listening skills using the shadowing technique! Today, I will tell you a short story, about my beautiful experience in Japan, Tokyo.
The shadowing technique is the perfect way to improve your British accent and speaking skills, and allows you to become more confident in your everyday life!
The first part of the video will help you to improve your British English listening skills. For the second part, you will repeat what I have just said, which will improve your British English speaking skills. For the third part, we will be reading the story together (shadowing technique) to help train your modern RP British accent.

RP is a rather niche accent surely, since it is spoken by a tiny minority of the population, and it has unpleasant connotations of superiority and condescension. I strongly dislike it, and it often makes me feel uncomfortable as it is so formal, cold and patronising. The fact that you refer to RP as British English underlines its patronising aspect, as it is not British, it is just one variety of English in GB. Back in the day our supposed betters considered it to be THE correct form. Foreign speakers of English as a second language would do better to learn a more demotic accent, Standard Southern English for example. Assuming they want to learn an English accent, and not Scottish or Irish or Welsh.
